Where do I start….grossly overcharged for services, every time I go there. Billing’s coded incorrectly for preventative healthcare so I get charged. Now, my poor son is suffering terribly with a sore throat. Today, we go to the walk-in (open until 6) at 4:52 pm to be told they stopped taking patients at 4:45….7 minutes! We need a throat swab, that’s it. They refused to take him in…as he standing there bawling in pain. I will be moving all my primary care from this place and will never go back. What a nightmare. There is no care…it’s a cash grab.

They recorded my visit using DAX Artificial Intelligence (Dragon Ambient eXperience) without my permission. They reported that I gave them permission; I had never heard of DAX until I saw this on my records: Patient gave verbal consent for the use of DAX during visit. I have edited this note as necessary to reflect the history and medical decision making performed and deemed medically necessary. The practitioner clearly states she edited the recording to reflect what is medically necessary. It is also written that I was given a physical examination and even writes that "pupils are equal and react to light, tympanic membranes are intact, etc. Kirsten Vetterkind NP never looked while documenting she did. No otoscope no pen light. The DAX recording was edited to NOT reflect the missing physical exam. Why are they lying about this. It seems to be the standard now.

Avoid this sinking ship like the plague! Unless you want to pay $2,500 FOR one BLOOD DRAW. I wish I was kidding. A $350 draw at any other standard lab initially cost $650 at Wausau’s marshfield clinic (after insurance). Then 7 months later I get another bill for $1,850 (after insurance) for facility fees. For a blood draw. They can charge whatever they want, whenever they want. And they do. It will take 8 months to get an appointment with a Dr & when you do finally get in, there’s NO ONE in the waiting room, or in the halls…it’s a literal ghost town. But when I mentioned something to the nurse, she said they are SO BUSY. In the following 6 months of follow up visits, there was never anyone else ever waiting (before or after leaving) in this dept that takes almost a year to get in to. They must purposely only have Drs work 1-2 days a week, a few hours a day to create this scarcity mindset. Had 6 follow up visits that were the exact same service, with the same Dr, & I’ve been charged SIX different professional & facility fees. Just when I think everything is caught up & paid for I get another bill for another $200 for facility fees from an appointment 7 months ago. (These follow up visits were 10-15 minute max just to make sure medication was still working properly). It’s a non-stop money grab from a PAYING patient with insurance and they are taking FULL advantage. No disputing…they can charge whatever they want. I will never step foot in this joke of a medical facility again.

Worst experience of my life. I went in to have my throat looked at because I couldn't swallow without extreme pain. I arrived over an hour before they closed. I was refused service and turned away! Outrageous. I went across the street and went to Aspirus walkin where I was treated with compassion and a person that mattered. Whenever I've gone to the Marshfield clinic all I am treated like is a dollar sign. No one listens to you and only wants to throw drugs at you and get you out as quick as possible to get the next "patient" in. I will never go back to the marshfield clinic unless I have no other choice and will encourage everone to do the same.
