From the minute you walk through the door until you depart, you know that the people working there care about you. I look for two things from any business I deal with, professional and personable care and interaction. Tristate is the epitome of both. The receptionists make you feel welcome and pre-op and post-op nurses give wonderful care!

This facility is excellent! Beginning at the front desk, greeted with a smile and so helpful. The medical/nursing staff in the back took immaculate care of me from start to finish. They are very organized and are on top of everything. The atmosphere was very comfortable too. I would give more stars if possible. They were awesome!

Just had a procedure taken care of at this facility. I get very uncomfortable in any medical facility, but the staff was very friendly and professional from check in to post surgery recovery. 2 stood out to me. I believe their names were Lori and Macy. I hope I spelled their names correctly. Both ladies seemed to recognize my being uncomfortable and went out of their way to make me feel at ease. Thank-you for your understanding and professionalism

5 stars for the staff and procedure. 1 Star for the billing. Was not made aware up front how large the bill would be for the portion “my insurance doesn’t cover”. They are unwilling to discount their bills in any form like the WVU hospital does.

It's a shame that the fine care given by the Physicians and Nurses at Tri-State Surgical Center is spoiled by the lack of professionalism and common sense used by the back-office. I would suggest YOU PERSONALLY contact your insurance carrier prior to visiting Tri-State, even if the admission and billing staff there assures you that there are no issues. We have an HMO, which required a referral from primary care. As our visit to Tri-State followed an ER visit we didn't know we needed one. We jumped through the hoops and back tracked for the referral (this was a legitimate, approved procedure) - still, Tri State refuses to re-process the claim and instead turned us over to a collection agency. It's bound to ruin our credit rating but they don't care. It seems logical to me that if you just re-submit the claim (this happens all the time, It's not rocket science) you would GET PAID!!! without harming someone's creditworthiness. STOP being part of the problem and be part of the solution. I can promise you, I will NEVER pay the amount due you out of my own pocket - re-process and get paid or write it off as a loss, it's your choice.
