I have had nothing and I mean nothing but problems over the last 5 years. Miss diagnosis, trouble getting them to cooperate with state and federal agencies such as SSDI, and complications with procedures. It's taking me years to finally get some answers. And I mean some. In the process of talking with lawyers now about possible malpractice. But they're the only ones that take My insurance in the area. This is the way things have been lately with health care. And they know it. And they certainly don't care. They don't care about you, they care about the money. I hope things get better with them. I've been very patient and very kind but... Things have not gotten better yet. I heard they were not good from the beginning. But again I had no choice. Dr Corvallis has been the best yet. But not perfect. I apologize I probably butchered his name. Also there reply to follow a link was worthless
The Billing practices at this organization are horrible! They send you a bill five months to a year later out of nowhere and expect you to pay it right away. When you ask the office staff about it they tell you they don't know why a bill wasn't sent out but that you were obligated to pay it immediately. This has happened to myself and my husband, this is not acceptable! they also give you inaccurate arrival times which throws you off if you are needing to fast before your procedure.
This review is specifically about the nursing staff and support staff at the surgery center and Rebound offices. In a word, horrible! Pre op / post op nurse at the surgery center was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was (understandably) in a lot of pain post op. Nurse told me she could give me a pain med that was noted in my chart I could not take. I reminded her of this. Instead of checking to see what other pain med I could be given, she said it's either this med I could not take or nothing. That was beyond shocking. This is not acceptable care. Staff at the Rebound office does not returns calls or emails. It took a week and a half and many phones calls and emails to get a refill on post op meds I ran out of. No one seemed to care. When they finally did contact the pharmacy (they had to send a new prescription), it was for the wrong medication. Luckily I caught their error.
This review will only discuss the quality of care, since none of the billing has had time to process yet, and I see the concerns of other previous reviewers; I have had similarly ridiculous, convoluted issues with OHSU in the past, so I am wary of the fallibility of a health care provider's billing department. My wife underwent a minor but still somewhat frightening procedure involving an epidural-like injection into her spine, to alleviate the pain and symptoms related to a pinched nerve between two vertebrae. Thankfully, she felt she was in good hands with Dr. Kafrouni who, despite looking a bit like a young John Kreese from Cobra Kai, was exceptionally caring, communicative, reassuring, knowledgeable, and clear in his descriptions of the procedure itself, as well as all after-care instructions. Whether this procedure will be the silver bullet that fixes my wife's issue has yet to be seen: the effects of the injection will take days to manifest, and a full vertebrae-replacement surgery is still in the cards if it doesn't). Either way, Dr. Kafrouni's insight into the nature of her suffering, the likelihood of it being transient versus permanent, the symptoms to watch out for (in case of the latter), and the path towards total recovery, in addition to his excellent surgical prowess and incredible bedside manner, made the whole experience so much less frightening and frustrating as it could have been. PeaceHealth as an entity may not be perfect (far from it), but surgeons like Dr. Kafrouni aren't far off the mark.
My preferred stop for minor, same day surgery. Great staff and they are highly concerned for your comfort and safety. The level of care is just amazing.
