Very easy to talk to and understand what the Dr explained to me. Professional and caring. He did a great job on the surgery and follow up.
The doctor was friendly and explained exactly what he was doing during the surgery. Luckily I did not have to be put under but was still nervous. I really appreciated the assistant holding my hand throughout…made me feel calm and it helped relieve my anxiety. Thanks again!
the staff are very friendly and the pre-op nurse Corey is super helpful. very comforting. Dr. Miller performed my umbilical hernia repair, and has a very nice bedside manner.. i felt like a person there, with no one rushing me at all. this is 4 days after i had my rotator cuff repaired, and i couldn’t move my left arm at all. they made me warm and comfortable in the OR, and that’s all i remembered! side note, it is very helpful to write questions down, so when the doctors ask you if you have any questions, you aren’t “ oh, i think i’m good.. because in the moment, those things just vanish from your brain sometimes.. at least for me. especially post-op.
Met with Dr VanderGriend last week. The appointment didn’t feel rushed. He was well prepared and very familiar with my CT. He was knowledgeable about my issue and related menopause hormone issues and treatment. This was a great surprise since often even GP’s are not well informed in this area. The office staff was welcoming, efficient, and knowledgeable as well.
Front desk reception, and nurse were very kind. Good first impressions. I liked Dr. Miller the minute she walked into the room! Dr. Miller explained my gallstone diagnosis, did a physical exam, went over my blood test, and retested elevated levels. Surgery was explained and I was given a choice of 2 minimally invasive options. A surgery date was scheduled. Amazing, I wasn’t nerve wracked walking out of this appointment. —J.Clay
