I had surgery there yesterday. Everything was smooth and I was taken care of from the moment I checked in to the moment they rolled me out to my husband to take me home. The nurses were amazing - especially Kim (the pre op nurse) and Shannon (the OR nurse). All the doctors and nurses were all amazing throughout the procedure.

I just had my first visit to this medical facility for a procedure. The nurses contacted me several times before my procedure to make sure expectations were clear. The staff here was professional, competent, and provided outstanding service before, during, and after my procedure. They treat the patient with dignity and respect. Keep up the good work!

I had a great experience here with my outpatient surgical procedure. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I was contacted well in advance by the pre-op nurse to ensure that everything was in order. She gave me clear pre-op instructions and made me feel very welcomed. The staff could not have been nicer to make me feel comfortable during my procedure. Reception could use some warmth training, but nursing was on point. Special thanks to nurse Monica who really put me at ease, considering how nervous I was. The rest of the team was amazing, and the unexpected "thank you" card was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise. It's rare for a health care facility to make you feel appreciated. Please keep up the excellent work. I hope to never need another procedure, but if I do then I'm certainly coming back!

Kendra from the front desk is the nastiest person I've dealt with in customer service in a very long time. I called on behalf of my spouse and was immediately hung up on. I have never had that happen to me before in my life. Inova really needs to be more careful about who they make the face of their company. People spend way too much in Healthcare to be treated like.

I recently had a deeply concerning experience with Lorton Ambulatory Surgery Center. Five days before my scheduled surgery, Kendra from their office called to inform me that I would need to pay a portion of the bill upfront, or the surgery would not proceed. Given that the surgery had been scheduled 8 to 10 weeks in advance, this last-minute notification felt inconsiderate and not patient-forward. When I expressed my concerns, Kendra mentioned that it is ASC policy to call patients about billing seven days before surgery. Confused, I asked to speak with the manager, who then claimed their policy is actually to notify patients three days in advance. This inconsistency was already troubling, but the situation deteriorated further. The front manager proceeded to emphasize that I was "ONLY" paying 10% of the bill, with insurance covering the rest, using a condescending tone. When I explained that many Americans, including myself, rely heavily on insurance to afford medical care, she began yelling and even threatened to cancel my surgery. Her behavior was extremely unbecoming and unprofessional, showing no interest in resolving my concerns. She ultimately hung up on me when I asked to speak with someone else, and subsequent calls were ignored by the staff. This is not a selective surgery but a necessary one that significantly impacts my life. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and consistency in communication at Lorton Ambulatory Surgery Center was alarming and disappointing.
