I had a great experience at this pain management surgical center. The staff were nice, professional, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable. Everything was well organized and explained clearly. Dr. De Vu was professional during my epidural injection and made the procedure smooth and comfortable. The only downside was that the reception area was very small and felt crowded. Other than that, the overall experience was very positive, and I would still recommend this center.

Don’t go here I have filed a complaint with the Texas medical board. They insist on charging patient up front and over charge. But when you call to get a refund, that’s when all of a sudden you can’t get anyone or they’re short staffed. Telling my my refund is going to take 6-8 weeks but it didn’t take you that long to take the money out. By law you are supposed to refund patients within 30 days. It has been 47 days and I’m yet to get my refund. Mind you they kept calling me for a follow up appointment. Won’t credit the $200 I’m owed towards my next visit but still expects me to pay up front for the next visit. Insane money hungry people.

I would love to tell people about how great this place is, but I'd be lying to you. I am a US veteran, in Jan I had surgery at the VA in Temple, I encountered complications. Long story short, the surgeon referred me back to my PCP, they in turn referred me to an outside urologist, where I was given 2 options, try pain Management or have my testicle surgically removed. Obviously I chose option 1. As soon as possible I made my appointment with advanced pain care, that alone had me in waiting for 2 months to be seen meanwhile I'm in serious pain. The day I go in for the procedure I'm told I had to pay upfront... I explained the entire situation upon deaf ears.... they weren't hearing it...it was pay or go home. No sense of empathy, no hey let's get rid of your pain first, then we can straighten out why the people that have control over medical referrals let this fall through....I thought serving this country was an honor.... what has happened... needless to say I will not be going back to that place.

The SOUTH location of advanced surgical center is a wonderful place with fantastic staff. I cant Say enough good things about everyone from the front desk to the nurses and my discharge nurse. My nurse anesthetist listened to my concerns and her clinical acumen allowed for her to come up with a drug protocol that works best for me personally. I can’t thank them enough for making a difficult and scary day for me a little safer and incredibly smooth.

The front desk staff for the APC MoPac Surgical Center are rude, disorganized, and unprofessional. The waiting room and reception area are small. So you can hear everything. Every snide joke, every audible sigh, every personal story, even patients personal identifying information and medical details, at times. You would think it was the back of a kitchen with how rowdy they get. This seems to be the only location where the office staff behave in this manner. I think the Drs are beyond professional and effective. Their service is why we’ll keep coming back. I hope they’re able to evaluate current training for their receptionists and make the appropriate adjustments.
