I had a procedure done here last week. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing outpatient care. I have had kidney stones since 1987 and have, unfortunately, been in many facilities that specialize in outpatient services. The staff here, starting with the young lady up front, Kiara, to every nurse I interacted with, gave me such a sense of relief that I was in good hands. Even the anesthesiologist came and sat with me. I also want to give an extra special shout out to Yasmin, the rn that inserted my IV. I opted out of the lidocaine stick prior and she placed it perfectly. No swelling or bruising after removal! If you have a choice, choose Surgery Centers of North Texas.

I had minor surgery/ procedure performed yesterday (9/17/24), @ the Arlington location. Although it was quite painful (only had local. I couldn't afford the sedation), the staff were wonderful. One of the nurses sat @ the head of the gurney & held my hand or put her hand on my arm. It meant a lot to me. The clinical staff @ preop & Recovery were all very nice & were very helpful, also. I really like my Doctor . He has a funny sense of humor & is very kind. A rep w/Axion, Suzy, was also kind & comforting. I know I keep saying, "kind & comforting", but that's REALLY important to me. Thank you Arlington N. TX Surgery Center!!

The front desk customer service, the nurses and anesthesiologist that my boyfriend saw before his procedure, and the surgeon, were all excellent. That’s about where the good experience ended. I spoke to the doctor briefly after the procedure and was told to give the nurses about 20-30 minutes to wake up my boyfriend and then they would call me back. This was information that we were also given when we first checked in - that before the procedure that I would be able to sit with my boyfriend (which I did) and that I would be able to sit with him after the procedure while he finished waking up and that they would speak to me about recovery instructions. About 40 minutes after speaking to the doctor, I asked the front desk when I would be able to go to the recovery area to see my boyfriend and I was told that they had not asked for me yet. 20 minutes later, a nurse called for me and I thought that I’d be going to the recovery area. Instead, she told me to go pull the car around front so they could bring my boyfriend out. I was confused and I asked why I wasn’t going to the back to receive recovery instructions with him, and she told me that he already received them. Once my boyfriend was brought out to the car, he even made a comment about why I never made it back to the recovery area with him. He said that he asked the nurses several times where I was and they told him that I was getting our vehicle and that I was not needed there. He did not remember most of the recovery instructions since he had been under and recovering from anesthesia, yet they made him sign a form that he had received and understood recovery instructions. He was under the impression that this was for that he was receiving the instructions but that I would also be receiving them later on. Before the procedure, he was also told that he would be receiving some sort of pain medication to take home, which he was not. There was also not a prescription sent to the pharmacy. Again, there were probably instructions given to him about pain management that he was not coherent enough to remember at the time. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and the aftercare provided to my partner. I feel like this was on the surgical center and their staff, and not the doctor himself (Dr. Sun was excellent and my boyfriend highly recommends him.) Hopefully, we will not have procedures at this center in the future. If we do, we will definitely be asking questions and making sure that the staff follows through with what they tell us.

Husband had two surgeries here. Doctor and nursing teams are wonderful. They keep those waiting well informed and provide great care. Facility is nice and clean with great front desk customer service, comfortable waiting area, unisex restrooms and small kitchen nook. Free Wi-Fi is a definite plus.
