I was a patient at the Advanced Family Surgery Center in Oak Ridge in September 2024 and could not have been happier with the care I received there. The nursing staff was supportive, efficient and incredibly kind. I barely felt the IV and had no bruising afterwards! The anesthesiologist was friendly, accessible and attentive to the fact that I was new to the area and having an urgent procedure. They walked the fine line of treating me as a patient and also acknowledging that as a healthcare practitioner, I was very aware of all the things that can go wrong. My surgeon, Dr Andy Sances, was very professional, kind and competent. I could not have asked for a better experience from the facility or my healthcare team. With all the changes in medicine in the last 15 years, we are very fortunate to have practitioners and surgical center of this quality in this area.

I had surgery there on 7/31 with Dr. Hafner and my experience was great! Emma, my preop nurse, was awesome! She did great on my IV and getting me prepped. She calmed my nerves and answered all of my questions. I’m sure my operative and post op team was great as well, however I don’t remember them due to sedation. Thank you all for a great surgical experience!

I went in for surgery on my thumb with Dr. Timothy Renfree. The surgery center was easy to find with plenty of free on site parking. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. I arrived on time and was called back to go over my registration information within ten minutes. Cassie took my information and was very friendly and professional. After another ten minutes, I was called back to the pre op area. Everyone encountered in that area was very nice. My pre-op nurse was Emma. She was exceptional. Her personality was perfect for calming anxious patients as they prepared for surgery. She was very friendly and respectful. She carried out her duties very well placing the IV and answering any questions I had. By the time I spoke with the anesthesiologist and Dr. Renfree, I was very calm and ready to get the procedure started. I owe my calmness to how I was treated by Emma. I want to thank her very much for that. The procedure was successful and I was seen by Jordan during my post-op period. She also did a great job and got me ready for release. She did a great job going over post-op instructions with me and my wife. I had a great experience at Advanced Family Surgery Center. Everyone I encountered was great!

I went to Advanced surgery for a cone procedure and they were amazing! The lady at the front desk was really friendly and made me feel less nervous. I got back there and the anesthesiologist and nurses were so comforting. My dr held my hand till I fell asleep which meant a lot to me because I was really scared about the anesthesia. I had to be there at 8:45 my surgery started at 9:45 and I was able to leave by 11:30 which I was happy with it did not take long at all and they were all so professional!

Had a Bilateral Tubal Ligation done here December 6th, came in at 6:30am and by 10am I was on my way home. Not a very long wait to be called, and they made sure that I was comfortable and taken care of. Kathy (pre-op nurse) was absolutely lovely and put me at ease. The rest of the surgery team stopped by to introduce themselves before we went into the operating room. Excellent post-op care, the nurses were extremely kind and helpful, and they took amazing care of me. While no one likes having surgery, my experience at Advanced Family Surgery Center was top-notch! Thank you to everyone on my surgery team!
