BEST STAFF EVER!! I have been putting this off for years. Everyone made my procedure so comfortable. Thank you.
In my patient portal I had a reminder for my next colonoscopy, which was due in December 2025. I made an appointment about a month prior, deliberately on the same day as my annual exam, so I could have both the same day. I live a couple hours away, so this is critical. A couple weeks prior to the appointment date, I hadn't received any information about what I was to do in preparation for the procedure. I messaged via the portal and was told that the appointment I made was a 'new patient' visit in preparation for the procedure. I've had a colonoscopy there five years ago, so certainly I didn't think I would be considered a new patient. I was told that "anyone who hasn't been seen in three years is considered a new patient, even if they were seen before." What? Seems pretty convenient, given a colonoscopy is either 5 or 10 years. I asked if a telemedicine was a possiblity, given the distance I live from downtown Nashville. They weren't willing to do so. As a result, I would have to drive there twice, four hours each time. Seemed like that was to get another office visit billing. So as a result, I cancelled my appointment there and went somewhere else where they took my information over the phone, mailed me the details and I just showed up once, on the day of my procedure. Plus it was closer.
I recently had an upper endoscopy at Nashville Endosurgery Center and the care was excellent. I came in with a lot of anxiety, but everyone did everything possible to make me feel calm, understood, and well cared for. The anesthesiologist even held my hand and comforted me before the procedure, which meant so much. Special thanks to Sam, Maggie, Yolanda, Daniella, and Kasie for their kindness and compassion. I’m so grateful for the outstanding care I received.
The EndoSurgery Center at 300 20th Ave Nth was great. A Colonoscopy is pretty routine, and nobody wants to have them but it is so important. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from scheduling, check-in, procedure, recovery and follow up. Thank you to Dr. Kylie Swearingen and staff for taking great care of me.
I had the best experience at NEC. I want to thank a few of the staff that went out of their way to be so kind. Jennifer was the nurse that took me back and started my IV. She was the sweetest and so comforting. Casey, the nurse anesthetist, eased my nerves and was so kind. Also, Dr Harb was extremely professional, kind and explained everything so well. When I left, Kim wheeled me out to the car and we had the best conversation while I waited. Again, thank you all for your kindness as it was so appreciated!
