I have visited this facility about 4 times now and feel it’s about time we write a review. If you stop reading now, know this. It’s a great experience. I just completed a knee replacement and from scheduling, to checking out process was phenomenal. Scheduled thru TOA, they called and arranged processing requirements before the surgery. We were required to show up 2 hours for prep work. We were early and they took us in started earlier that scheduled. If you get delayed in being seen for the actual surgery its because of the Dr is still working on a previous patient. I don’t remember much when I got on the table, once they did my happy juice, I was out like a light. The anesthesiologist did all my needle sticks and I can say he was the best ever, I had a nerve block done on the leg and a spinal tap. Since I’ve done these before I can honestly say he was the Best. Dr J Benjamin, thanks! Then I woke up with the nursing staff by my side bringing me out of the cloud i was in. Within an hour and half I was on my way home. The procedure was completed in about an hour by Dr W. Carpenter from TOA and I can honestly say he is one of the top surgeons you can get access to. I came out of the surgery and now sitting at home and have already achieved more than a 90 degree bend and I can completely straighten my let. This whole procedure has far exceeded any expectations I had and completely off pain medications after the 4th day. I probably could’ve come off earlier, but wanted to stay ahead of any pain. The nursing staff from BASC called me the following 2 days to make sure everything was ok. I would highly recommend this facility, and those Doctors I called out. They all deserve the 5 star rating and more.
This was my worst example ever at a surgery center. My appointment was at 3:45. I finally had my procedure at 5:55. After the procedure I was taken to recovery for 5 minutes. My blood pressure was taken and given a can of sprite. No discharge papers or instructions were given to me. I called the facility twice today, the day after my procedure left voice mail. Never received a return call. Do not recommend this facility.
Had to go there for an ESI and it was a great experience. I’m having an extreme disc herniation issue that has left me unable to stand or sit and I can only walk using a walker and even that is excruciating. Everyone there was so kind and did their best to keep me in as comfortable positions as possible. I can’t remember every person’s name but Julie was the one who took me back and she was so sweet. Dr. Clendenin did the ESI and it was such a better experience than my previous ESI, back several years ago. Everyone was just wonderful. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
I never received a call about the billing estimate. They said they did, but I never received a call or email, so it was a surprise getting the bill. Aside from that, everyone was kind, professional and helped me feel comfortable about the process, due to my first time being put under and first time getting surgery. The facility was easy to locate and park. Highly recommend. .
I am writing to express my utmost disappointment with certain aspects of my recent experience at your facility. While the staff in the surgery area, including the doctors and nurses, were exceptional in their care and professionalism, my interactions with your receptionist employees and billing department left much to be desired. Unfortunately, these issues have overshadowed the positive aspects of my visit and have led to my decision not to return in the future. The lack of communication regarding billing was particularly frustrating. I was never provided with a good faith estimate nor any written details outlining what I would be paying for prior to the surgery. Additionally, my receipts did not clearly specify what each charge was for, which only added to the confusion. It was only after this ordeal that I discovered there were separate payments required for the doctor and the facility itself. A simple provision of written information from the outset could have clarified everything and prevented misunderstandings. I urge you to consider implementing clearer communication protocols within your billing department to ensure that future patients do not encounter similar issues. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope it can contribute to improvements in your service.
