I do not recommend this facility for surgery. My son had his tonsils removed in early July 2025. While the care he received was great, the business office ruined this facility for us. They didn't file the claim with our insurance until the very end of July 2025. (This is important to know because they told me that we had to pay a hefty amount the morning of surgery.....no payment, no surgery. They refused a payment plan.) During the time between surgery & them filing a claim with my insurance, my son had post op complications (not the surgery centers fault) that required a hospital stay. By the time St. Francis Surgery Center filed their claim, everyone else had filed claims and we met our deductible, which meant St Francis Surgery Center now owed me a hefty refund. When I called in mid-August 2025 to discuss my refund, everyone I spoke with was rude to me. I was told my insurance was lying to me and that they were not issuing me a refund because they were right and my insurance was wrong. They filed an appeal with my insurance. Another month goes by and the EOB shows that my insurance was correct and we only owed a small amount to the surgery center. I called again in September 2025 to discuss my refund. Again, I was met with rude individuals who told me that they have a 3 tier refund approval process and I wouldn't be seeing my money anytime soon (Seriously...I was told this could take upwards of 6 months!) During this process, I discovered that SFSC is a physician owned facility. This means physicians have some ownership in the facility as well as investment interests. I knew our ENT was one of these physicians. We had a consult with him for our second son and ear tubes in October 2025. He knew he had done the tonsil surgery for our first son at SFSC and suggested we go back there for the ear tube surgery for our second son. I said absolutely not. When our ENT asked why, I explained that this facility was holding my money hostage and explained the entire situation to him. He was horrified and said he would look into it. We received a refund check in early November 2025. I have no doubt it's because our ENT checked into my complaint and had it refunded sooner. If you HAVE to use this surgery center, make sure you keep up with when claims are filed, keep up with your EOB's, and write names down. I wonder how much money they get to keep from people who don't keep up with these things.
I had a very positive experience today for tendon surgery on my wrist. Everyone who was charged with my care from the Brad my nurse who did my initial vitals, and found the best vein to use, to my anesthesiologist and everyone in recovery! I was very well cared for!
I had surgery on 04/03/2025. I was called to bring $1,052.00. After research and calling my insurance, I informed them that I did not owe that much. Morning of surgery, they demanded I pay that amount anyway. I have now been trying to receive a refund of $324.70. My first call was on 5-27-2025. Second call on 6-19-2025 and again on 7-02-2025 and now on 07-23-2025. BEWARE: Demands payment up front but refuses to refund for over payment. I have asked for a refund back on my credit card for easy transaction for all and refuses. RUN to another facility for surgery, as fast as you can. They will keep your money
I had a wonderful experience at the St. Francis surgery center. The staff was very friendly and got me in and out of there in a timely manner. My nurse was very kind and talked me through the whole thing. Highly recommend!
I love my Dr. but I'm here to talk about the staff! Teresa helped me through preop and made me feel comfortable. The staff in the surgery room was the BEST! Andrea, Gina and Jackie engaged me in their conversation and kept my mind occupied as I went to sleep. Laura (Anesthesia) understood right away that I was a little nervous and was very light and funny. I really appreciated her being there. The whole OR team made me feel very at ease. In Recovery, Roan helped me get back on my feet and she was very nice. Everyone was very skilled and helpful.
