I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this facility. They are angels!! I had never had surgery, anesthesia, or been a patient in a hospital before. I told them upfront that I was scared. They all took the time to talk to me about my concerns. Rachel was the nurse who prepped me for surgery. She was incredibly kind. Casey was my nurse after surgery and even though I insisted on calling him Jason, he was patient and kind. They made a scary situation bearable. I will forever be grateful for their care!
This was the best possible surgery experience a person could have!! From the nurse who got my IV the 1st try (which is unheard of) to the very professional anesthesiologist to my awesome surgeon is the best team a person could ask for I highly recommend them!!
My mother had knee replacement surgery today and they were all fantastic! They took the time to explain and be thorough and really treated my mom with such care that I will definitely recommend KOC and KOSC. Barbara RN in recovery was especially amazing! She was caring, compassionate, smart and on top of everything going on. She was excellent.
I had rotator cuff surgery today. Check in was quick. Mostly everyone was super nice. The anesthesiologist and doctor explained everything really well. The staff were very attentive. Once I was in the OR, things went really quick. They don't chat with you because they're busy fixing you. That's okay with me. Everyone was really nice during recovery. I suspect someone was playing or singing because I came around doing a pathetic version of singing myself. The Katy Perry serenade in the main recovery room was awesome. Ha. My one critique. I won't name them because they seemed otherwise really nice. I mentioned that I'm a hard stick. They said they figured I was. I asked how. They said they watch patients as soon as they walk in. That they notice things. I inquired what thing was the clue that gave it away. I could tell they didn't want to answer. I'm a big girl. I'm pretty sure they were expressing a belief that this predicted an issue with veins. Idk if it's a fact. I don't care. That response was most likely them saying a thought out loud without thinking. Next time please think. Mood affects surgery and luckily i was more amused at the squirming than upset. The next patient might really care though. Be kind.
