I went to the Holston Valley Surgery Center on 6/5/25. I arrived before scheduled appointment. The lady at the front desk was so nice and got me registered before my appointment. And by 8:50 am I was going prep for pre-op eye surgery. The nurse Amanda was awesome she seen I was nervous on my first eye surgery. She was hilarious and kept me laughing and relaxed. And the gentleman Anesthesiologist he had me laughing and relaxed he was very nice. My eye surgeon was Dr. Baer and he was awesome and he talked to me throughout the surgery. He was telling me step by step he was doing during the surgery and it took at least one hour. And the nurses in the recovery room was awesome and friendly. And after a half hour I was going home. Dr. Baer and surgery crew was awesome. I would definitely recommend Dr. Baer.

The most wonderful medical experience I've ever had. I was treated so well and pampered, I would almost compare it to a high-end spa. But most importantly, the medical care was phenomenal. I don't know what they pay their staff, but they all need a raise.

I was so nervous about my surgery. The whole surgery staff was amazing. They made my anxiety calm down. Just great experience from the first person I talked to, to the last one when I left. Thankful I had such a good experience .

I love my DR and I'm sure the team was pretty good however I was super nervous and the surgery center staff were not friendly at all which could have helped stress and anxiety if they were friendly. I've had surgery 8 times but this was major surgery. My legs shaking. They offered me something to calm me after asking for awhile but it didn't calm me. It made me lose my memory. I just needed something simple like valium. I remember every surgery going in but my mind erased from the med this day and my memory was poor for days. I'm only 34. They normally just give you something to relax you not erase your memory. Some of it probably related to the anaesthetic is why I was still hazy for a couple days obviously anaesthetic can do that.. She asked me if I had jewelry and said no. She didn't check and oops I realized I did have a bracelet on 30 minutes later. So I asked if she could please possibly help me because the type of bracelet will not come off without help. She shrugged, okay. I was very friendly. Also nervous. In tears. But no one was nice. No one tried to get my mind off my worry. But I'm sure no one realized how nervous I was. I did tell 2 staff. An assistant and an anastesiologist how nervous I was but they were just like okay. That's normal. There was only 1 nice lady there and it was the lady checking me in for surgery who sent me back to the room. She was a very nice lady at the desk who checked me in!!! Very friendly.. No one else was friendly.

Today was the third trip for me having procedures done at this facility.....I can say that from the check-in to the check-out I have always had a phenomenal experience. This is the best staff of employees that I have encountered in a long time of medical issues.....the nurses, anesthesia team, admitting team are all great. They are all very personable and have a way of making you feel safe and taken care of from the beginning of my procedure to the very end of it. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing a same day procedure.....I can't leave Dr. Bailey out either....great care and great communication.......KUDOS to this great team!!!!!
