Nicest and most professional staff ever! Had routine colonoscopy and was impressed with the level of sophistication and smooth operation of process the minute I arrived. The attention I recieved was amazing. Appreciated getting detailed report with photos same day. To everyone I had pleasure of meeting, Thank You. You ARE THE BEST!
Absolutely wonderful! Everyone from start to finish was smiling, happy and welcoming. The nurse who inserted my I.V. was excellent! We all hate needles, right? Zero pain. The doctor was caring and took the time to talk with me about myself a little. Highly recommend.
I'm not one to write reviews but my experience here was amazing so I feel the need to share! This was my first surgery and I am full of anxiety the nurses were all insanely patient with me and super calming! They went out of there way to make sure I was calm and comfortable which was greatly appreciated and needed! My surgeon was beyond amazing! I couldn't of asked for anyone better! Very happy with the experience here!
This review is mixed, thus the 3 stars. 1) BEFORE CRMC bought CSC I had surgery here. The staff was tops, and everything went smoothly. I had no issues whatsoever. 2) CRMC bought them, crash and burn. My wife had surgery. The doctor did great, even the staff was great, and to be honest the nurses were great. So what went wrong? The rules. After my wife was taken to recovery she was to be done and out in 45 minutes to 1 hour. At the 1 hour mark a nurse came out and said there were some problems, but nothing to be concerned about, before I could ask a question, door closed. About 30 minutes later a different person came out, there were still some problems, but nothing to worry about. I asked to be allowed to go back and was told no, she closed the door. Then it was quitting time and EVERYONE left, except a few nurses. I went to a locked door and knocked until a nurse came out. I asked to be with my wife, no, I insisted. She said she would have someone talk to me. Later a nurse came out, I insisted to go back, no. I asked to see her supervisor. The supervisor came out and told me I could not go back, I said "Are you denying me my right to be with my wife?' I was reluctantly taken to her. Right away I saw what was wrong, she was not coming out of anesthetic. I started talking to her, scratching her back, rubbing her cheek. I started doing what I could to stimulate her brain and breathing. The nurse realized it was helping. They had called the doctor, but after they saw what I was doing realized me being in there was the best thing for her. When I stopped stimulating her, her O2 fell to 60 - 59 and her pulse 40. This happened several times. I later learned that in some people anesthetic can paralyze breathing. I stayed by her side, never wavering, reminding her our son was finally getting married and she had to see it. I had texted a friend to call my son to get him there. When he got there, without question they allowed him in. when he was by his mom's side I looked at the chart, I noticed some notes I wondered about. We requested all the records and got nearly everything EXCEPT FOR that chart. Not long after my son got there my wife got to go home, about 2.5 hours after she was supposed to be released. It took a few days, but my wife finally started to share her view of what was happening. She described in detail the physical effects of the brain shutting down. What some describe as total peace and comfort, she said she was so at peace she did not want to come back. We both know it was not heaven, just the brains electrical system shutting down, but I realized just how close to dying she was. my issue is not with the staff, they were following orders. But even when given orders at some point humans know when an order is wrong. Had they allowed me back as soon as the issue started, the near death could have been avoided. CRMC you have to change this rule, because you will kill someone, I'm glad it was not my wife.
All the staff were very kind and understanding and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They are an excellent example of teamwork and positively impacting their patients' experiences. They all deserve a raise and a daisy award. Thank you; all of you for taking such good care of me - I just stated my career in the medical field and I will strive to be like you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart- keep up the good work! 🙂
