I have been there three times to get injections, and all three times the staff and everyone is very nice, however, as far as being comfortable during the procedure, the anesthesias, refuses to provide enough comfort, and I’m in tears telling them that I am in pain And they do nothing. Whereas before, when the anesthesiologist talks to you, he assures you that he’s gonna keep you comfortable, and if if I’m in pain to let them know, well a lot of good that does because they don’t listen and they just let you cry and rise and pain. Incredibly frustrating. The first time they said, I had oxygen level issues, and I ended up going to the hospital for an entire work up, with them telling me my breathing was perfect perfectly normal and fine after all these cardiac test. Which was a waste of time and yet still the anesthesiologist refuses to provide any comfort for my procedure. I wish my pain management would find another place. went to millennium Surgery center, no issues with my blood pressure whatsoever. Finally, I was able to receive an injection without feeling any pain and for the first time in 10 years had two hours of pain relief. I don’t know what the heck is up with Upstate Surgery or their anesthesiologist they seem to think that people are there just to get high, which is really ridiculous and unethical practice I think somebody ought to look into this. I actually needed to have recovery time at millennium Surgery center, whereas Upstate Surgery, as soon as they brought me to the recovery room I was up and walking. It was ridiculous. I felt nothing absolutely nothing. I was still in pain and felt completely clearheaded and nothing absolute ridiculous waste of time. I don’t know what’s up with this place as I said, I think it needs some looking into.
Recently had Cataract surgery here. I could not have been treated better. From check in to discharge the professionalism of everyone involved with my surgery was outstanding. Thank you.
Had cataract surgery at Upstate Surgery Center and was treated with utmost kindness. Very attentive staff. I would Highly recommend this surgery center. Thank you to all the staff who made me very comfortable and felt very special. I noticed everyone was treated with compassion. Dr. Michael Phillips was my surgeon and highly recommend him as well.
Upstate Surgery Center is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by Porscha with a warm friendly greeting and check-in was seamless. Catherine was my RN that prepped me for surgery. Catherine is professional, friendly, and helped ease my anxiety as we both laughed over certain movie quotes. Belinda also has a great beside manner and made me feel like I was in good hands (which I knew I was). Dr. Andrew Hack with Southern Eye Associates is one of a kind. He geniunely cares about his patients and has been blessed with a God given talent! Thank you all for making my experience at Upstate Surgery Center a pleasant experience despite needing surgery.
Nice, clean and well lit area. While the doctors and surgical staff are great, the ladies at the front desk reception area could be friendlier, especially the darker haired lady with glasses. When she was asked a question about how to answer a question on the paperwork she sharply answered and acted like it was a bother to answer. Some public relations training definitely would come in handy.
