My husband had a colonoscopy and the staff and Dr. Pianka were great. They do a great job of explaining what will be done and caring for you after the procedure. I would highly recommend them.
Was very dissatisfied with my attempt to drop off a copy of a cat scan on disc to this location. That had been insisted on as a prerequisite for the patient to be seen. After wasting quite a bit of time obtaining it, I was told by the office staff that they couldn't read or use the disc. After pointing out it was their request, I was told they can't accept images on disc. Their reasoning was that their computers don't have cds. They insisted they can only accept them on paper. Which has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Thousands of images on paper. I asked them if they ever received them like that, but they couldn't answer. The bottom line was a whole lot of wasted work time to provide requested materials to be told that modern delivery methods were not acceptable. If so, then i guess one needs to wonder what else is still in the Stone Age. 2 stars because the patient was seen without the need or even mention of the demanded scans. You might want to reconsider this approach for future patients.
Excellent experience. Prep was easy. Slowly drink that miralax the night before. I gave it 20 minutes from last sip. The procedure is very smooth. Very well trained nurses and Doctors. Shout out to Trish, Tiffany and Karen. If you get nausea, ask for the anti nausea meds. I truly appreciated everyone's care. Thank you.
Truly the best experience you could have for this procedure. Every member of the staff was absolutely amazing. My first experience somewhere else 6 years ago was awful from prep to recovery. But at Dr Thomas McMahon's office and at East Bay Endoscopy, every single step of the way and every conversation I was met with care and understanding about my concerns. And prep was relatively easy and day of was easy and recovery was easy. I highly recommend Dr McMahon and East Bay Endoscopy.
My first colonoscopy was on October 29th. The prep was not fun but not as bad as i had been told by others. The day of the procedure went so much easier then i expected and that's thanks to the staff and Dr. Ravi Nadimpalli. They were all fantastic. They explained every last detail and made me as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend. If i have to find fault in any part of this it is the billing. I went into this doing some research of my coverage as my $500 deductible should have covered everything. The week before i was called and sked to pay $368.00 to cover my costs and that all payment needed to be prior to services. That's fine. Needless to say i was quite shocked when in late November i get a bill for approx. $1,191.00. A few weeks later my original payment of the $368.00 is returned to me and a few weeks after that i get yet another bill for $500.00. I called today and settled that yes the $500.00 is the final bill as other covering insurance was late to submit their bill to the center. My point to all this is know your coverage before you do this and if billed after the procedure i would wait a month or two to pay especially if you have any additional coverage that may kick in.
