This practice has the “best of the best” crew/medical staff I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. Everyone, the Receptionist, LPN’s, RN’s, Anesthesiologist Doctors, transport, anyone that works in this facility are incredibly awesome. They have a pleasant, kind, and thoughtful way about them and that means a lot to me. I truly love this wonderful group of people at Blackstone Valley Surgicare. I have been a patient there for years and years and my opinion has always been the same. I was just here recently for a surgery. The staff is super friendly and competent. The nurses there took great care of me after the operation. I was very comfortable and they were very accommodating. Thanks to the staff at Blackstone surgicare on the third level.

Although the surgical care was outstanding, I would never utilize this facility again. I was told I could not have the surgery until I paid in full, then they went and charged Blue Cross for the full amount. I have been trying for months to get a refund of my money, with no success as they will not respond to the messages I leave. Blue Cross said this is not policy, nor should they be demanding full payment. In the future, I recommend before you have surgery here, call your provider and let them deal with the billing policy. Notice how they have a refund button choice when you call? They must be doing this to everyone.

My girlfriend was there yesterday for surgery and we didn’t feel comfortable with the care she had received. Her surgeon and anesthesiologist were great, but the lady at registration first tried to collect a co insurance up front without billing the insurance or giving an itemized bill. We informed them that they cannot charge a co insurance up front until they bill the insurance and threatened her that they would cancel the surgery. My girlfriend told them that she will contact the insurance company regarding this and let her be seen after signing a promise to pay. Ok so she’s nervous and the nurse that came out to get her gave her a hard time about me going back with her. The nurse was also upset that my girlfriend has a few belongings with her since I was unable to stay with her for the surgery because I couldn’t get the day out of work. We gave them specific instructions nicely to please contact myself and her mother with updates and they neglected to do so. We told the facility that she gets very nauseous coming out of anesthesia and when she came out of anesthesia she was just rushed out while she was getting sick. That’s lack of care on their end and we will be putting in many complaints with her surgeon and the insurance company. I mean come on they didn’t even give instructions for at home care after surgery. With this horrible experience we will never again go back.
