Check in was easy and Staff was so nice. The Doctor and Anesthesiologist spoke to me before my son's surgery and explained everything. The nurses were very nice too. After surgery, the Doctor spoke to me. Discharge was nice too. Nurses were doting and attentive.

Make them bill you for the deductible, do not pay up front like I did. They collected my insurance deductible at the time of surgery and applied to their account in error - the deductible was due to the surgeon, not Grandview. They have been overpaid for months and did not contact me or send any statements- just sat on the money. In the meantime, my doc is due the deductible. Several months and still not handled. Last I heard it would take 4-6 weeks for a refund.... I should have told them initially that I'll pay the deductible in 4-6 weeks.

Scheduled my surgery in January 2019 to be completed May 1, 2019. Doctor office calls less than 2 days before and says it is canceled. It took them almost 4 months to decide they won't do it. My friend took off work without pay to get me there and back home safely. They even had my paperwork in their hands in January. I find this very unacceptable. Now it is an agonizing 2-3 month wait unti I can have the needed surgery.

This is not a good facility for surgeries. Their practice if informing patients/communication gas a lot to be desired. In my case, I was told 4hrs before surgery that it was cancelled. Upon calling back to find out why, I was told that the day prior they did not have all clearances. Upon checking further, I found out my doctor had gotten all clearances. However someone there made a decision which caused a lot of problems with my schedule as well as the doctor''s schedule. Upon talking with Director there, was given runaround claiming they had talked with my doctor's office when in fact that had not. My biggest question to them was if you knew circumstances the day before, why was I not notified? Again I say, their communication is horribless and untruthful. If you to have surgery here, I would ask your doctor to have it done someplace else. I certainly know I will!! This is why I personally would not recommend this facility to anyone.

This is the typical Holy Spirit Geisinger operation: "You'll take what we give you and be happy with it." They called me up a three days before my surgery and canceled me. I had made that appointment weeks before and made arrangements to have my dogs taken care of as well as my house. My fiancé had taken off a day from work to drive me to and from the surgical center. When I asked why I was told that it was the Anesthesiologist's decision. When I asked why again there was no further explanation just a clipped I'm sorry can we reschedule it now? I had a very good experience at Pinnacle which is where I ended up having my surgery at a later date.
