The people the doctor where fantastic. I received a call from day surgery 2days before week end. Procedure was Monday. Called and said even if I have insurance I would half to pay 1/2 up front. I worked full time up until 3 months ago. My wife worked for peacehealth for over 20 yrs.. I have paid every bill I ever got from peace health.now when I need help. They desert me. I can not pay 1/2 up front.. now my income is 0.. she passed away in 2016. I am losing the fight. Thank you peace health. Remember the name.CANDANCE ANN Willyard. She gave more than she ever got. I have never asked anybody for anything. Please give me a reason to continue .

I had an amazing experience from check in to being wheeled out to my car. My surgery required anesthesia, so I really don’t remember much when I was in the pre op room. I was also given something to help with my nerves while in pre op to make me more comfortable. It definitely worked. The nurse who got me ready was very good at what her job entailed and all with a fantastic bedside manner. She was also teaching a new employee at the same time. I never felt rushed or pushed. The medicine to help with my nerves made me lose my memory, so after I was given that, I don’t even remember being wheeled out of my room, or anything in the or. I do remember waking up to, in my opinion the best nurse. His name is Mark! He has the best bedside manner, he’s very intelligent, thoughtful, thorough, calm, all while making sure I was comfortable and as pain free as possible. When my spouse arrived, Mark explained everything in detail and made sure we both knew what to lookout for in terms of if a problem arises. He sent me home with everything I needed for my recovery down to when my next medications were due for me to take. All in all it’s the best experience I’ve ever had having surgery from the check in lady to leaving. Everyone was so nice and thoughtful and even though I don’t remember the folks in the operating room, I’d like to thank them, my surgeon, my nurse in pre op, to Mark in recovery. I definitely recommend going to Day Surgery at RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon.

I’m not sure who was responsible for this mess, but I was not given complete instructions about pre-op information for a scheduled biopsy that I showed up for and it was cancelled. I believe some of that is my ENT’s office fault, but the nurse at Day Surgery Center told me that, BY LAW, I had to have someone accompany me on the ride home with ride source and someone would have to be with me for 24 hours post procedure. There is no law stating such a thing, so Amber or Heather, whoever “helped” me, please don’t spread misinformation. If the practice has a policy that’s one thing, which also was NOT IN THE PAPERWORK I WAS GIVEN, but please know what your policies are. The paperwork mentions nothing about escorts being mandatory for a ride, nor does it say that if you can’t have someone with you 24/7 your surgery will have to be scheduled in the hospital for an overnight stay. None of that was my fault, and since not everyone is on the same page I wonder if it would have been possible to get my biopsy done today. Would be nice to rule out cancer instead of making me wait longer.

Absolutely amazing experience!!!! The front desk staff all the way to nurses and back office staff were very good to me. I felt so comfortable and well taken care of. I had certain requests and to see the communication between the whole team to make sure everyone was on the same page was very helpful. Great team! I was definitely impressed. I highly recommend this place if you are deciding on a surgery center. You will not be disappointed in your choice.

My nurse Matthew was great. He was constantly joking and made me feel comfortable. He was also very professional, good at distraction, and I didn’t feel the IV needle when he inserted it (one of my biggest phobias!). Dr. Yang was great with providing the information that I asked for and surgery was smooth. Cameron was awesome once I was out, the anesthesiologist and his medical student were also cool (sorry guys I was too drugged up to remember your names). This was a really good experience and I think this whole team was wonderful. Matthew, watch The Outsider (Stephen King)
