If you call and don't leave a message, their system will text you back. Which is fine. Asked a question via text, no response. Had to go to Bend - got a same day exam with an Rx for the new Vizz (aceclidine ophthalmic solution) eyedrops at America's Best (see screenshot).
We've been going to High Desert for a couple years. Staff has always been friendly, however not the most affordable clinic. Visits have been declining in satisfaction. Last visit paid for a contact refitting as I was considering multi-focal contacts. I was given a sample to try while they ordered my preferred lens in a multi-focal. Before leaving I kept saying the left contact wasn't feeling right. Took out and asked eye doctor if it looked right, its very dark in rooms. She said yes and even did close up view only to later remove contact after a day of incredible discomfort to determine the contact was in backwards. Waited 2 weeks and no call on the order for my preferred brand to try multi-focal to be told they were never ordered. Requested to just order my normal brand with my updated prescription and did not feel there was any sense of urgency or even any concern that nothing was ordered as was originally advised nor any real concern I paid a fee for contact fitting but was sent out the door with a contact incorrectly placed.
I feel the teams communication to patients is not good. My 1st appt i asked if the exam covers contacts. Was told yes by the doctor but when I called to order contacts, was told I needed a separate exam. I paid for that but didn't order my contacts in time. To my surprise I only had 90 days to order. Why a deadline to make my order. It takes time to test different brands out and I had personal things go on in my life that caused a delay. They were not compassionate or understanding.
Was seen 6 months ago, paid over $300 for glasses with insurance coverage. The glasses got broken so I called in to see about getting a new pair or possibly getting my prescription so I could order a pair online and have been given the run around for a month now. Right down to them telling me I have never been seen there. I have my insurance statement stating they billed them. Either they fraudulently charged insurance or need a new book keeper. Getting ahold of an exam I did in the last 180 days shouldn’t be this hard.
Super nice and Friendly! All of the staff was great and Dr took the time to go over multiple options with me. They got me in very quickly. The price for the glasses was really high, so I did get those someplace else, but I really liked the staff here.
