Thank you so much! This procedure for my secondary cataracts was simple, easy, amazingly brief, and amazingly successful—completely clearing up the visual obstacles, a result they was obvious even before the effects of dilation had worn off. . And the staff were so kind and supportive and helped me overcome the anxiety I arrived with! . I am so grateful!
My overall experience at PCLI was excellent. Every person who helped me was professional, experienced and compassionate. Every step for my Cataract Surgery was extremely well organized. Certainly recommend them!
Good service and polite staff. Had 2 different surgeons so I could stay at this location-closer to home. Admittedly it was a bit like a manufacturing line! Most importantly-and the reason for 3 stars: this is a Christian institution, which is fine, BUT this is not advertised. On the intake questionnaire they asked if I wanted " a Christian prayer before the procedure". I was a little taken aback, but checked "no thank you". Ok, fine. Nothing more was said. However, in the swag bag given to all patients at the first surgery-which I did not open til I got home-there was a Christian book! I felt this was quite inappropriate, esp in light of my declining the prayer. But also, it demonstrates implicit bias, assuming or preferring that everyone be Christian. What about Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Catholics, even?! Once my time there was over, I had occasion to speak with the office manager, to return the entire bag untouched. She said I was definitely not the first person to complain about this. But the owner refuses to change his policy from the 1980's. He should get into the 21st century and ASK patients if they want this!
I have never seen a better team of medical staff at work. They were so good and followed a very efficient routine. I felt like a happy movie I was part of. Thank you. For your great teamwork. Also no pain anytime during my eye surgery? Thanks from Ken B. 2nd follow up appointment today very great and happy service. Great staff. Thank you.
I was really scared but everyone was so kind and professional. I can't imagine it being any better. I never experienced any pain or discomfort during or after. I'm so glad that my local eye doctor recommended this. My surgery was their beautiful Portland office.
