From the moment I arrived, everyone was so kind, comforting, and efficient. The staff made me feel completely at ease and well cared for throughout the entire process. Everything ran so smoothly, and I could tell the whole team truly cared about their patients. The environment was clean, calm, and professional, which made my surgery day feel less stressful. I'm so grateful for the excellent care I received- thank you to everyone at Knightbridge Surgery Center for making my experience so positive and comfortable.

I was very nervous about surgery, but the staff was so kind and understanding about my nervous tears. Everything was well thought out and everyone I encountered was kind and empathetic, and that makes all the difference when you are in such a vulnerable state. I am so glad my surgeon uses this center, and if you're scheduled for surgery here, just know you are in good hands.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that having to have surgery for any reason is never a fun or enjoyable experience (much less for people like me with medical anxiety), and I hope that the endometriosis surgery I had recently at this facility was the last one I will need, but with all of that in mind my care team made the experience as smooth and pleasant as it possibly could have been. When they took me back for pre-op, they could tell that I was very nervous (the first hint was probably my through-the-roof heart rate), but my nurse was willing to step back into the waiting room to bring my husband back to see me a little earlier than is typical (they usually finish all of the surgical prep before bringing the companion back, but she brought him in before inserting my IV), and they gave me an injection of Xanax in my IV while waiting in pre-op to help me calm down. They also started on nausea interventions right away because I had expressed that post-op nausea was a concern. In pre-op, I was visited by the anesthesiologist and by the doctor who was doing my surgery. The anesthesiologist had me explain my procedure to him in my own words to confirm that I understood what I was going to undergo, and chatted through what to expect from the anesthesia and answered any questions I have. Also on the topic of anesthesia, I have experienced a very uncomfortable sore throat from surgical intubation in the past, and with this procedure I have been pleasantly surprised by how mild the post-op sore throat has been and I think it’s due to the anesthesiologist intubating me as gently as possible (which sounds weird, but thank you to my anesthesiologist! Any piece of post-op discomfort than can be reduced is very welcome). Knightsbridge has a two-phase post-op recovery process. When I was still mostly sleeping, I woke up in a bed in a recovery bay, and once I had slept there for about an hour they had me get up, try to use the bathroom, and then move into an area with reclining chairs. They put me in a recliner with a heated blanket, got me some water, ice chips, and ginger ale per my request (there were snacks available too, but I didn’t feel ready to eat yet) and then they went and got my husband to sit with me. The thing I appreciated most about the experience was how long they let me rest in post-op. I never at any point felt like I was being rushed out before I was ready to leave. Between sleeping in the recovery bay and in the recliner, I was in post-op recovery for about three hours, which gave me plenty of time to wake up and get nausea under control. The team at Knightsbridge was extremely kind, comforting, considerate, patient, and gentle, and I am so grateful my surgery was able to take place at an outpatient surgery center instead of navigating a huge hospital.

The front office person was very nice and efficient for my check in today. The nurses were a 5 star group of professionals. They took care of me, explained all that was happening in the process, promised to give me good care (actually it was excellent). I am terrible remembering names but I remember one name, Rachel, and all the ones that worked with her were the best. My operation was an incisional hernia. Very painful after surgery but they made the stay an easy event. My Doctor (Giammar) was great too. He explained my procedure and promised me it would be a painful recovery for a few days. I appreciate the honesty. Love to all of you but I hope to see you under different circumstsnces.

Stellar care, compassion and friendliness from the time you register til the moment they walk you to your car. I had a surgery yesterday and I can't say enough about this team; from the front desk to the nurses and surgeon. They make you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you enter the registration and waiting area - and they were on time! The friendliness and thorough care was outstanding. A huge thanks to Kari, Jennifer, Brittany, Lori, Emily and Pam - they all had important roles and each was as friendly and caring as the other. And of course Dr Shoemaker's great skill as my surgeon! Thanks all! Bravo! I am home healing well.
