Only one star because you have to give a star! These dr do not care about anything but your money! Call 40 mins in advance to say I was gonna be late due to a wreck. I was 15 mins late and Dr wouldn’t see me he had already left. But if I were in his office he wouldnt have left. Several times I showed up and dr were gone already when I was on time. I take the latest appointments due to being a contractor trying not to miss much work. Had the same eye issue for the last year and seen 10 times and every time I go they do nothing different, prescribe me the same temporary medication and say they don’t know and now I am out of that medication and they won’t refill it until they see me again KNOWING EXACTLY what the issue is. They just want that money before they will give me the eye drops again. I was seen at all three CEI in the Cincinnati area. I do not recommend! They don’t have answers just bandaid fixes! Now I have to go find another eye dr and start over, mean while my eyes are in pain. But until they get their money they won’t do anything, just prescribe the eye drops.

They were quick, but probably because they forget to do everything else. They didn't charge my insurance company, so I got a $500.00 office visit bill. My eye was inflamed and painful due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and this is the place my rheumatologist wanted me to go, Dr. Canavan recommended a medication and wanted me to start immediately, he never called it in to my pharmacy. I had to call them that Friday to remind them I needed meds. If I had any other choice, I would not see them again.. Only thing good I can say is the nurses were very kind and friendly and it was decently quick for a specialist appt.

My visit with Dr. Roxana Rivera was great. I came for exam and removal of a lesion in my eyelid on the lash line. Dr. Rivera explained what I had and took care of removing it the same day. She and assistant Kelly were both very courteous and made me feel very comfortable. Again, before and during the removal, Dr. Rivera explained what she was doing and made sure I was doing ok. She took special care to not have to remove my lashes by the lesion which I appreciated very much. After the removal she was thorough regarding my caring for the incision for the next few weeks and made sure I was to come back for follow up. I am very grateful I chose Dr. Rivera and highly recommend her!

Feb.6, 2024 was my first time going to the Cincinnati Eye Institute. I could not believe how big the place was and how many doctors and nurses there were. The place was very clean and nice. I checked in without having to wait. My wait time to be seen was not very long. The nurse that called me back to do some eye tests was very nice and friendly. The doctor that I saw was very friendly, caring and answered all of my questions. My first time experience there was great! 😃 I recommend going there for any eye problems.

Dr Rivera did surgery on both of my eyelids due to droopiness that interfered with my vision. I was nervous but she assured me it was going to be okay. I followed the aftercare instructions faithfully, ice 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off for the first 2 days while awake.. Slept with my head elevated, didn't let my head go below my waist, and no heavy lifting for the first week. I had some initial bruising and swelling, which is expected. I followed the instruction of using the antibiotic gel on the stitches. When I went a week and a half later to get the stitches out, I had very little bruising, just a little bit of yellow. She remarked how little bruising i had compared to other people. And I am very fair skinned, so bruises last longer on me, so I was glad to hear her say I was healing faster than normal. There is hardly any pain after the surgery. I didn't believe her but it's true. I think the most surprising thing to me was how tired I was for about a week after, I slept at least 12 hours each night, but that could have just been my body's reaction. I highly recommend Dr Rivera, you're in good hands if you need eyelid surgery.
