I've gotten Lasik eye surgery around August of 2021 & my life has improved tremendously. I am able to drive with confidence, I can read street names, I can read food menus at a drive through. Things I once couldn't. I went through countless of appointments to find out if I am a candidate. I was told "how do you even drive at night?" that's when I realized my vision truly was a problem. I no longer remember the name of my Dr but thank you so much to him & Cincinnati Eye Institute staff!
I had an excellent experience surrounding my recent Urgent Care eye appointment with the team at CEI Urgent Care in Blue Ash. The entire staff, including reception, nursing, and doctors were highly professional, friendly, and provided state-of-the-art care. 5 stars plus!
Dr. A Kumar did my husband's and then my cataract surgery. For both of my surgeries Dr. Kumar had additional "emergency surgeries added on several days in advance so on my second eye we were instructed to be their at 6:15 a.m. the building doesn't open until 6:39 so we were fourth in line when the doors clicked open. The nursing staff doesn't even arrive until 6:20-6:30. Not ever having worked day shift I hated all the 7:00 a.m. times her appointments. And having a few emergencies actually is code for saying we overbooked and now we have way too many patients coming into this puppy mill should be done today Dr finally decides to come in at 7:30 when my surgery was scheduled and I was the fourth one in so at what point did the doctor wash her hands for surgery on my eye. And I thought that I had was that my husband received the same medication I received to induce and amnesiac sleep-like quality which work very well for him he didn't even remember the day however I remembered everything was wait for the entire surgery and while on the Left eye it wasn't unpleasant but I heard everything going on and I was the least of the concerns in the room they discuss the medication that the doctor that wanted who to order it from why wasn't there more of it there and then oh you're done. However now for my left eye the doctor was already behind I had told her everything she said during the last surgery and she just laughed and said oh you remember that. Instead of explaining what they were doing they taped my head with my left eye down which didn't make any sense to me since they were going to work on my left eye but evidently that's how they do it even though I questioned it. The doctor rushed in started working and it was okay but then it hurt and then it really hurt and I told her it hurt and that it really hurt and that it was uncomfortable and her response was well I'm almost done at which point she continued to shove it and I suppose so that she could rush off to the next patient with little or no concern to the fact that it actually hurt me. The post update for the second eye was miserable which I wasn't expecting. My husband had bubbles under his lenses so had to be on eye drops for an additional month I had a wrinkle in my right eye and I can see the entire side of the lens that she placed in my left eye yesterday pretty sure that's not correct but I have a 7:00 a.m. appointment today again for a post-op visit. So if you're going to have your cataracts done and you don't mind a puppy mill atmosphere with little or no concern for the patient CEI's definitely replaced and Dr Kumar is the doctor for you. I have to say all of the nurses were excellent but you have to bear in mind that nurses cost money doctors make money so the nurses have to be nice.
Flew to Cincinnati to CEI from Maine for cataract removal. My husband has a very rare eye condition which makes it difficult to have a cataract removed. Nanothalma. His left eye had been done in Boston 4 years back. Not the best result. So we sought a different surgeon to do his right eye. We found Dr. Snyder through our glaucoma specialist in Portland Maine. I wish I could tell you the whole story as there were some setbacks on our part once we got down there. Nothing to do with Dr. Snyder or CEI. We were greeted at the desk first off. They are the frontline people and we got a good feeling when we came into the practice. Special shout out to Amber at the front desk. She has the gift of listening and following procedure. Just loved her. Everyone that was involved took care of us. I can’t begin to tell you about the professionalism, dedication and kindness that was expressed to us. Prior to seeing Dr. Snyder an assistant comes in and does preliminary work to prepare for Dr. Snyder. He takes that info and continues the assessment. His actual time with you is sufficient if one thinks about that. Dr. Snyder knows what he is doing, gives you the info, makes sure you understand and is on to the next patient and that’s what I need him to do for us and for others that need his care. Tells us to call if there are any problems. He gave my husband back his sight. That’s all I care about. His life will be better. Our deepest appreciation to them all. Phenomenal team of people.
Was referred to Dr. Snyder from my Dr in florida. Was the best thing my old doctor could have done. Done with him. Dr. Snyder took care of 2 eye issues I've been dealing with for over a year. Within a week of my appt, he had me in surgery and all fixed. Amazing. I am even starting to see out of the eye that i had two cornea transplants over 2 years ago and haven't seen anything since. He said that was phase one. Can't wait for phase 2
