Wow. If I could sum up GAP in one word it would be professional. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left, I felt totally at ease. Very efficient, staff was very nice and they explained everything that was happening and what would happen. The doctor came in and explained what they were going to do and he visited as soon as I woke up and let me know the results. This is exactly the reason I drive two hours to this location. I will be back!
Staff was friendly and patient, answered all my questions and didn't rush me. Nice quiet waiting room, and relaxed office atmosphere. The PA had looked at my history and was apprised of my concerns. He invited conversation and really listened. I felt respected and heard. He even went to the trouble to order a comfortable prescription to what my Primary care doctor had ordered except it was less expensive.
I have been a patient at GAP for 9 years now. I was 39 when I first went in with some GI issues, including bleeding. The doctor was very nice and listened to my concerns. He suggested a colonoscopy to see what was going on. I'm glad I listened to him, that colonoscopy saved my life. He found a large mass in my rectum, which turned out to be stage 3b rectal cancer. I spent a year in treatment, and have been cancer free ever since. All of the staff there are wonderful.
After my first visit to GAP, since moving from SC, I have the most wonderful new doctor Jared Rejeski. He listens and remembers every issue you want addressed. He is so knowledgeable and does not hurry but takes time to record and refer not only for gastro issues but any others that he feels will give answers to my needs. The office staff and nurses are polite and efficient. I know the Lord led me to this group and to Dr. Rejeski and that I will receive exceptional care.
EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL/PATIENTFRIENDLY‼️ I have been a patient at Wake Forest Baptist for a long time and very pleased with every department there up until a very recent acute Severe stomach pain problem where in October 2026, there was only one December Gastro appointment out of town until April 2026! I visited the GASTRO MD out of town. I was extremely displeased with his communication skills, leaving me uncomfortable with him! -I immediately called the Novant GAP gastroenterologist Appointment line To see when I could get the earliest appointment. The lady receiving my call was extremely friendly and wanted to help immediately when she heard my symptoms, putting me extremely at ease! Unbelievably, she was able to arrange an appointment the next day ‘NEXT DAY’ With Dr.Jason Jones who did Part of his fellowship at Yale medical school after part of his fellowship & residency at Wake Forest Medical school‼️ Dr. Jones was extremely professional, had great communication skills, answered all my question, put me at ease and arranged a endoscopy coming up here in a few days! They could have arranged a much earlier in the fee, but I could not get relatives and friends to accompany me earlier!
