I recently underwent world-class cataract surgery on both eyes at Wilmington Eye Surgery Center using the FEMTOsecond LASER, and the experience was exceptional. The entire process is remarkably well-choreographed. From patient prep to the surgery itself and into post-op recovery, it is clear that a tremendous amount of thought has gone into creating a patient-centric, repeatable process. You never feel like just another number; you feel like the priority. A special shoutout to my surgeon, Dr. Robert Van Der Waart. He is incredibly skilled—with hands so steady, I’m convinced he must be a Jenga champion in his spare time. If you are looking for precision and a seamless surgical experience, this is the place to go.

I am very disappointed with my eyelid reduction surgery. They did not remove enough eyelid skin to notice a difference. I still have overhang on my eyelids. My own eyebrows are very uneven now & almost impossible to correct with eyebrow makeup. I feel like I wasted my time & money with this surgery and wasn’t given what was promised by doctor. Very disappointed. Ms. Denbo

My recent cataract surgery was a great success and easy process to manage because I chose to stay slightly nearsighted since my left eye 👁️ didn’t need it. Dr Pomolsky got me spot on, so I can now wear all my same glasses 🤓 prescriptions and no need to buy a bunch of new glasses. This was HUGE for me!! And I can see brilliantly up close with no glasses! A++++

From the moment you enter the building you are greeted with kindness & efficiency. Dr. Watson is superb in her skill & technique! As a retired Critical Care RN from NYC, I recognize that the care is a team approach, & well demonstrated. I had 2 procedures there, and Adam RN, Cindi RN, Elizabeth technician were exceptional. As I am wont to do, I got my times mixed up and arrived an hour early. They were able to take me back 40 minutes before my scheduled time. Everyone at this facility is very nice. Sometimes if you do a job over and over, you forget what the individual patient is going through. However, that is not the case at Wilmington Eye Surgery Center. They really do care how you are feeling from start to finish.
