As a retired RN, I critique my medical/surgical experiences right on down from the physician/surgeon to the nursing personnel, facility, etc. I recently had cataracts removed from both eyes, last surgery on April 2, 2025. Dr. Steinberg was my surgeon. For the first eye, I was a nervous Nellie. I cannot say/give enough praise to everyone involved in my experience right from the receptionist to the recovery room nurses. I don't remember all of their names but the first cataract surgery team in the OR was Sarah and Olivia...fantastic ladies. Made me feel safe as soon as I entered the OR. I'm sorry I don't remember the anesthesiologist name but he was great too. When I went back on 04/02/2025, I was much more relaxed regarding the procedure. Again the staff right from the receptionist to the recovery room nurses were excellent. And I was even lucky to have Sarah, surgical scrub tech, this time to. I just want to commend everyone involved in my cataract surgery experiences at Central NY EYE for a job well done. And, of course, Dr. Steinberg too.

Staff was kirt two word sentences they took my wife's belongings put in a white plastic bag and LOST them so they say ;!!!! My wife had a very expensive casmire sweater and matching hat that was a gift and there's no doubt in my mind after I questioned the person who took it off of her had in fact stolen it from her !!!! This isn't over !!! I would not trust that facility with any personal belongings as long as that person still works there very sad however the surgery went smooth my wife is very happy with that part of the visit the Dr is very professional and I'm sure a good man it's the facility itself and one person that made our experience a horror story unfortunately !! U tell me should we just forget about this whole incident !!??

I had a cataract removed and replaced with a lens. The whole process from entry, surgery and recovery, went amazingly smoothly. I highly recommend these professionals to anyone considering the same. They were efficiently swift and clean. I’m so glad I had them working for me, and I will do it again for the next eye when the time comes.

I had cataract surgery at this facility yesterday and I cannot say how organized, caring and efficient the whole experience was. The staff was great. They worked together in a pleasant competent manner…. check in, prep and journey into the operating room, post op instructions — everything was smooth and efficient. I felt that I was in good hands all the way through. My surgery was done by Dr. Pandolfo. I am returning at the end of the month for the second eye and I will not be as nervous as the first one having gone through this process.

I went for my second eye cataract surgery on 5/31/2022. This review is only for the surgery center as Dr. Steinberg is excellent and 5 stars. The anesthesiologist hurt me needlessly. I have excellent veins in both my hands. However on this date I was punctured 4 times unsuccessfully and in excruciating pain. I said no more. The anesthesiologist returned and got it right using my other hand. He kept saying I wasn’t cooperating. Two weeks prior a different anesthesiologist had no difficulty using the same hand. I always get complimented on how easy it is to insert a line since I have good veins.
