i don’t see where the 1 star comes into play… very clean and the staff is very nice and the nurses are attentive. i’ve never had a problem and i’m here every few months for my si joint injections my only complaint is that it’s very cold in there. so come in a sweatshirt even if it’s 90s degrees out my last visit was 9/3 everything went smoothly and i will be back again this week i highly recommend this surgery center. definitely better then any hospital
Wanted to share a quick review in thanks of Josefine, who does intake when patients come in. She was an absolute pleasure, easing our fears and conversing with us like family, as we awaited my husband's procedure. The Center for Advances Sping & Joint Surgery is lucky to have her!
I was not an actual patient there, but had the unfortunate privilege of being the ride home. Upon going to the Hauppauge location, I heard the front desk assistant ask, “Is this private insurance or no fault?” That is all I needed to hear besides three patients (some from the city) saying no fault. The front desk assistant told me that I just needed to show my face at the front desk to release the patient once he was done. I did what I was required to do when the patient was ready and was then called by what I assume was a nurse to come to the door. I have no clue who she was to this day because she did not identify herself in an any way. I again assumed he was being released. Nope! She then brought me in the back. I suffer from PTSD and this triggered so many flashbacks and anxiety. The recovery area lacks any privacy. You are literally right next to the person beside you. I could see all the beds and one patient recovering in clear view. Seedy is too kind of a word to describe this location. When a location primarily caters to car accidents and is the recommendation of personal injury attorneys, an average person legitimately hurt should not walk but run away from it as fast as possible! No wonder car insurance rates are through the roof in New York. Places like this should be investigated and shut down!
5 star service!! I had shoulder surgery and it was a first time ever surgery for me. I had no idea what to expect but the nurses and front desk staff explained everything in detail and made me feel cared for. The nurses noticed how anxious I was kept me attentive and distracted till they snuck up on me with the anesthesia haha! If I ever need surgery again I would totally revisit them. Thank you to all staff for great hospitality!
Today my son had shoulder surgery in the Smithtown office after being in a car accident everything went well so far so good the Reception desk, Nursing team,& Doctor were very kind, polite and Professional everyone that played a role in the surgery where organized and structured. The entrance waiting area as well as the recovery rooms were very clean.
