I had surgery at East Hills Surgery Center for a hip replacement with Dr. Seiderman. Everyone on the staff there was wonderful! They were kind, caring and very considerate of my situation. Dr. Seiderman is terrific! I had my other hip done 6 years ago with him. Everything went well and I was up and about in no time. Thank you to everyone this at this facility for all your care and kindness.
What an amazing experience I had here. I had a cyst removal procedure and I was a bit nervous. The staff from the receptionist all the way to all the medical staff was beyond amazing. i was referred to Dr. Chorost by my primary care (Dr. Jack Li) and im glad I was. Dr. Chorost did an amazing job! Dr. Kelly was very helpful as well. Thank you to all the medical staff who made my procedure very easy and smooth and giving me the care I needed.
HORRIFIC !! This center is NOT the ambulatory center recommended by St Francis Hospital and Heart Center in Roslyn. There is a disclaimer at the very bottom of the East Hills Surgery Center website that says that the center is owned by physicians, who do NOT maintain the same standard of care offered at St Francis Hospital and Heart Center. The doctors make more money if they can convince patients to have their surgery at East Hills. It's all about the money. Catholic Health invested in the East Hills Surgery Center, but when I called St Francis Patient Care to complain about the care I received, I was told ST FRANCIS IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE EAST HILLS SURGERY CENTER AND DOES NOT OVERSEE THE QUALITY OF CARE PROVIDED TO PATIENTS. The connection is just financial. I should have left the center at 6:30am when the receptionist, Carol, told me and my family member that patients must enter WITHOUT a family escort. Family MUST wait in the waiting room. Why? Carol said it is an old rule from Covid that they just haven't gotten around to changing!! I asked who is responsible for changing the rule, and was told the board members of East Hills. Who are the board members? The doctors who own East Hills Surgery Center. Rules are made to protect doctors, NOT THE PATIENTS. The nurses at St Francis are top of their classes coming out of school, and are trained by outstanding nurses at the hospital. The nurses at East Hills almost killed me by overdosng me with Dilaudid- THREE TIMES, DESPITE MY WARNINGS TO THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND NURSES PRIOR TO SURGERY. I was so overdosed that I could not meet with the PT following my knee surgery, which began at 8am. At 5pm, I was still so drugged I couldn't move, but the nurses (Annie and Megan) said the center was closing, so they could wheel me out to the car, or call an ambulance to take me to St Francis Hospital. The nurse who first administered Dilaudid did not talk to me before administering the drug. When I asked what it was, she said "Dilaudid" I said, "it makes me sick and I specifically asked NOT TO RECEIVE DILAUDID." Her response? "OOPS" and giggles. Hours later, another nurse made the same mistake. When I vomited all over my newly bandaged knee, the nurses said they were not able to change the bandage. Had a family member been permitted to accompany me to the prep and recovery areas, this could have easily been avoided. THIS CENTER IS ABOUT PROFIT FOR THE DOCTORS, NOT PATIENT CARE. BEWARE.... stay away ! My doctor encouraged me to use East Hills saying, "this center is the ambulatory center for St Francis, all the same doctors, all the same nurses." NOT TRUE. NOT THE SAME POLICIES OR STANDARD OF PATIENT CARE.... JUST MORE PROFITABLE FOR PHYSICIANS. If your doctor pushes you to use East Hills, find another doctor !
WOW! An absolutely fantastic facility! Dr. Peter Stein, who performed my surgery is a world-class surgeon, super smart, compassionate, warm and very connective. The nurses that I had attending, Ashley and Lori were amazing professionals that made me feel incredibly comfortable. Everyone from the receptionist to the anesthesiologist were wonderful. I could not have had a better experience anywhere then at East Hills Surgery Center. I highly recommend state-of-the-art, immaculately clean establishment.
I had an absolutely pleasant experience having surgery here. From the front desk worker Alyssa checking me in with a smile on her face and being extremely helpful to all the staff in the back. Special shout out to Cassie, who was really fun and upbeat and cut my cast off and made me feel very comfortable and also to Ashley, who was my post-surgery nurse. She was amazing, caring, attentive, and just absolutely the best! Thank you for a positive experience on my first surgery. And a shout out to Dr. Tuckman for doing an amazing job fixing my wrist. The dude who gave me my nerve blocker was awesome too!!! I just don’t know his name. Suite 100D has all the best peeps!!
