The Northwell Health ECLI, 711 Stewart Ave, Garden City, NY (Rm 114) where I had a procedure done by Dr. Zachary Marwil, this morning and his staff in every capacity. Throughout my visit, it was a wonderful experience to have these professionals from their reception area to the prep area and procedure(s) done to completion. The group welcomed me, making me feel "at home" while I waited to be called and proceeded to be taken care of completely. I highly recommend my Doctor and the group at this facility for any procedure you may need, any age group, as well. Truly a great experience. Thank you. JGY
Just had an endoscopy and colonoscopy done here today. Not my first time at ECLI but todayās experience was worthy of a great review. The prep of course was heinous! Iām a foodie so not eating was NOT fun. I was in quite a mood when I arrivedāstarving, hangry, weak, and irritable. But that all changed once I walked through the door. First person to greet me was Bianca (hope Iām spelling all the names correctlyš¬). She was welcoming, funny, and very friendly. She was also on top of her game with the paperwork and asked all the right questions. Check in was 1,2,3. I sat in the waiting room for maybe three minutes? Then Pallvi called my name and brought me to the back. She was also quite thorough and friendly. She has a beautiful smile! She inserted my IV and directed me to the gurney. Nice robes! The temp in the room was comfortable; some facilities usually have it on arctic blast so I was happy about that. Then Dr C (jeez, I forgot her name) the anesthesiologist came and introduced herself. Lovely lady, also thorough and friendly. She introduced the OR team: Lindsey and Bill. Both of them were personable and welcoming. Unfortunately, Lindsey had to go to lunch (lucky her!!) and Kelly stepped in to take me into the OR. There was jazz playing over the speakers (George Bensonās Breezinā-1976). I love music so that was a plusšš½ šµ That is when I got a chance to talk to my doctor, Dr. Singh. We discussed the prep 𤮠and meds that Iām taking. He explained the procedure and then it was go time! Bill put Lidocaine in my IV and thatās when things started to feel REAL GOODšš. I got the giggles while adjusting my body on the gurney. I couldnāt help it but I was relaxed and knew I was in good hands. Then the propofol kicked in and I was out like a light. When I woke up, I was in a recovery area with Elaine. Such a sweet lady. She made sure I was comfortable and answered my questions (What time is it? How long did the procedure take? Did everything go well?) I was a bit discombobulated but thatās to be expected following anesthesia. Man, that stuff is good! Dr. Singh came to my bedside and provided me with post-procedure info and initial findings. He rocks! I received my discharge instructions, and Elaine assisted me to the restroom. She walked me out back to the front of the facility where my sweetheart was waiting for me. Thatās very important: you MUST have someone with you to escort you home and remain with you for 24 hours. I canāt imagine driving home in that blissful stupor!𤣠I HIGHLY recommend this facility. Between the staff, medical professionals, and cleanliness of the facility, you will have a good experience. The prep was the worseāno way around itābut the overall experience was fantasticā¦and a ābreezeā just like the song! Thank you, ECLI!šš½šš½
Having medical tests, scans, and copies can be frightening to many. However, the dedicated team of compassionate and caring professionals greets you, explains everything, and reassures you every step of the way. My only wish is that every person reading this will be so lucky to have a similar experience. I learned an amazing lesson at 65, had I encountered such treatment when I was so young, perhaps I would have taken better advantage of regular checkups and embraced self-care. I have no hesitation or fear of making my next appointments. So come on down! Time to get and stay healthy!
Good and bad. Front desk woman who checked me in was cold as ice. You show up nervous and ill from being up all night with the prep and the first person you meet was awful. She had no name tag, short, blond, but didn't seem to be one of the team. The others seemed nicer. Once past her the experience got progressively better although its a factory. The nurse getting me ready with the IV, etc. was clearly overwhelmed trying to balance numerous patients at once. She was pleasant but had too much to handle.. Again, not the care you would hope for but not her fault. Concentrate on one patient at a time please instead of starting, stopping, leaving and returning. The post op nurses were excellent. The whole atmosphere changed to patient, friendly, caring, taking their time with everyone, etc. Huge thanks to them!!!
Had a great experience at this practice. My mother has Alzheimerās Disease and filling out papers and answering questions can be very difficult for her. We had a nurse Kathy who was amazing and helped my mother through the entire process and took her time and patience while dealing with my mother. She was extremely sweet and made my mom feel comfortable. The anesthesiologists was extremely nice as well as the rest of the staff at this establishment. I highly recommend this practice.
