I accompanied a family member for a scheduled 2:00 PM procedure at LI Eye Surgical Center. We waited over two hours past the scheduled time. I asked three different times for an update and was repeatedly told she was “next,” yet five other patients were taken ahead of her for the same doctor. The situation was especially concerning because the patient had not eaten since midnight, as instructed by the facility. When I asked to speak with the lead nurse, Geralyn, to address this valid medical concern, I was met with disregard and a dismissive attitude, rather than empathy or a clear explanation. Despite repeated reassurances, the patient was not brought in until 3:45 PM, nearly two hours after the scheduled procedure time. The lack of honest communication and the way patient concerns were handled made an already stressful situation significantly worse. On a brighter note, the office manager and her team were wonderful. Kelly and the registration and check-in desk staff could not have been any nicer. They were kind, professional, and did their best to be helpful throughout a very frustrating wait, and they truly deserve recognition. Delays may happen, but better communication and compassion—especially regarding fasting patients—are essential
I had a very good experience there .from the front desk to the nurses, doctors and all the staff members were very professional. Everything went smoothly for me by the grace of God. I'll highly recommend this place.
So frustrating!!!! My husband’s surgery was scheduled for 2pm. He was not allowed to eat all day before surgery. We waited over 3 hours in the waiting room before anyone came to see him. He did not have surgery until almost 6pm.— 4 hours later than initially told. I see this is a common complaint from other patients. They have no concern about people’s time.
I just had a eyelid surgery in this surgery center, I admit I am the worst patient but everyone was extremely professional and patient trying to make me as comfortable as possible in the circumstances The place was clean Plenty of available parking, And if I have to have a procedure in the future this would be the place I choose. I wish I could say thank you to all those who helped me through this very unsettling time.
We have been here twice, this place was just wonderful. The staff are kind, professional and fast and answered all our questions. The discharge process was kind and easy. The reviews about insurance seem misplaced, they were always clear and upfront about costs.
