It was great until it joined OCLI. Today I waited for an operator for 2! (TWO0! hours, but no on ever answered!
The one with the red hair downstairs is really rude, she has a hard regulating her emotions and lets it out on her interaction with the patient. It’s horrible. Get someone who actually cares to be a nice human. Can’t believe she gets away with that massive attitude that she gives for patients going into SURGEY.
I just had cataract surgery on my right eye by Dr. Mackool (Jr.). I am completely satisfied and would highly recommend this doctor. My case was a bit out of the ordinary because my left eye had been damaged by a traumatic accident several years ago and this had implications for correcting my vision. Dr. Mackool told me getting rid of the cataract was totally doable and he would also be able to correct my astigmatism. The pre-operative visit was very thorough and I felt confident going into the surgery. The surgery itself did not take long and there was no post-operative pain. I am writing this 3 days after the surgery and I already see an improvement in my vision. In addition to the doctor, all the support staff was very accommodating and responded to all my needs. A wonderful place!!!
My experience was excellent. Every person that I dealt with was professional, efficient, compassionate (I was nervous about the surgery!) and lovely. Dr. R.J. Mackool was extremely knowledgeable and had a relaxed and lovely manner. The office was clean and modern.. I feel I will be in very good hands for this cataract surgery.
The first visit to Mackool, during which it was determined which surgery I should have, was very important and well done. The entire staff at the Eye Institute has been terrific from beginning to end — supportive and knowledgeable. The actual operation was so efficient; from providing garb to wear over ones clothes, to anesthesia, and finally to the removal of the cataract. I experienced no pain at any time. The staff provided car service for my trip home. And the follow up consultation the day after was perfect. I was grateful that I received an explanation for what each type of eye-drop was for. Thank you so much for everything.
