Avoid seeking care with Sally Alwan in Family Practice. Based on my experience, Sally Alwan demonstrates a lack of professionalism and patient-centered care. After waiting nearly 50 minutes alone in an exam room, she refused to take accountability for her significant tardiness and instead blamed me for choosing to leave the appointment out of respect my own time. Her subsequent mischaracterization of events in my clinical notes was particularly concerning, as it was inaccurate, unprofessional, and reflective of a troubling power imbalance. Rather than showing accountability or empathy, her documentation further dismissed the situation and my experience as a patient. After I reported these concerns to Patient Relations, additional clinical notes were entered that continued to inaccurately represent events. Given the timing and content of this documentation, it could reasonably be interpreted as retaliatory.

FYI to current and new patients in pediatrics, they are billing insurance in 2026 for the tablet questionnaire they hand you when you check in (the one that they don’t say is optional and that you will be charged for), they won’t review the results with you, and then bill you $112 since most insurances don’t cover it (BCBS does not). I’d recommend going to a place with more transparency and not billing for answering questions that they don’t review with you.

I can't say enough good things about the Radiology group here. Everyone from the schedulers to the nurses to the techs are incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. They went above and beyond to get me scheduled for multiple procedures and helped me adjust when the timing didn't work out quite right. Never once did I get anything other than amazing support and service. I am so grateful to be a patient in a place where everyone genuinely tries so hard to make it a positive experience. Whoever Stephanie is in spine center - probably shouldn’t be there. I called to get an appointment, explained my situation and was told I needed a referral. I tried to explain that my insurance doesn’t require a referral, and she repeated that I needed a referral. Ok, fine. But don’t go to hang up on me before you tell me where to send the referral. If you don’t care able people- don’t work in health care.
