Nevada Eye Consultant the best experience I have had in a long time. I had worn contacts for over 20 years, had all kinds of issues with them in the past year that I decided to do LASIK surgery which has been the best decision ever made. No pain at all just some burning sensation for one day, next day I woke up like nothing had happened. Love my new improved vision. Thanks to my Surgeon and Staff😊
I really believe the difference between the 1 star and 5 star reviews this office gets is whether or not you were an easy patient or had problems. If you had no complications, easy in, easy out… Then you probably had a five star experience. If you have complications, like I did, you can look forward to a one star experience. I had lens replacement/cataract surgery in both eyes and chose the light adjustable lenses. $10,000 out-of-pocket. The surgery went well, but after that everything went from bad to worse. Dr Dimit has absolutely no people skills. If you question him, have problems, or concerns, he turns into a very difficult person to deal with. Dr. Morris also became very impatient, very dismissive and rude when I started having problems. There’s very different personalities with these gentlemen depending on whether you are preop or postop. My optometrist agrees with me, that there is something wrong with the end result of these lenses. I certainly don’t have anything close to 20/20 vision, but I did before they started the light treatments. Honestly, I think they did something to damage the lenses during the light treatments. At first, Dr. Morris admitted to me that something was wrong and they would fix it, then at my next appointment he started backtracking and told me that we needed to have ‘a little chat’ and if I could reasonably see the numbers on my phone and could read signs 15 to 20 feet away, then I am fine and they didn’t need to see me anymore. I now have close-up glasses, far away glasses, reading glasses, nighttime driving glasses. I had the surgery so I didn’t need to use glasses anymore and now I carry around multiple pairs. I don’t see clearly close up or far away. Everything is slightly blurry, I have halos and can no longer drive at night. I can’t read anything without glasses. I can’t read street signs until I’m very close to them. I can’t see the guide on the TV. Prior to this surgical disaster I had 20/20 vision both far and near with glasses. Dr. Morris recommended I have this surgery so that I would no longer need glasses. If you want to take the risk and hope that you have a 5 star experience, by all means use this office and just hope and pray nothing goes wrong, because if it does, they aren’t going to be there to help you.
techs and staff are awesome as are dr morris and dr lyons! waited 20 minutes to see dr dimit for a 3 minute post op cataract follow up - i understand doctors get behind going from one patient to another but a comment/acknowledgement about having to wait so long would have been appreciated. and boy does he need to work on his people skills - i would have preferred a robot!
Everything was amazing: staff, doctors, surgery, and aftercare. I have zero complaints. Before surgery everything was very well explained. I was almost completely ready for surgery when I left from my consultation, the only thing not completed was my part of the paperwork. Just an awesome experience!
Dr. Chang, his amazing nurses and assistants, and everyone else I came in contact at the Nevada Eye Consultants made this experience an amazing one! I had -9.5 eyesight Rx with glasses and -8.5 with contacts. The day after the surgery I was 20/15 vision! A little bit about my experience: I hadn't remembered this but I apparently went in for an ICL consultation about 10-12 years ago. They still kept me on file and when my normal eye doctor told me last month that it's time to either do ICL or stick with glasses for the rest of my life, I reconnected with Nevada Eye Consultants. They still had my consultation information and so we got right away with taking all the needed measurements and getting my ICL lenses ordered. All before my regular contact order came in the mail. (I rejoiced that I didn't need my contacts anymore but sad I already ordered them; my mistake for not planning). The ICL lenses came in and within a few weeks of initially getting seen, I was in pre-op getting a bunch of drops in my eyes and getting prepped for surgery. The attending nurses were all so friendly, laughed at my corny jokes because I was nervous, and found ways to keep me calm. The procedure was super quick for both eyes. Even though they told me I wouldn't remember anything, I did, but It wasn't a bad experience at all. It was just weird looking at the light and seeing the distortion as they put in the lenses. No pain, nothing. A slight tug during my left eye but no pain felt whatsoever. I could tell that Dr. Chang knew his stuff and was very precise at his technique. Because I had my first follow-up appointment a few hours later and I felt it was pointless to leave and come back, they let me camp out in a dark comfy room which I proceeded to eat my lunch, doze off on the couch, and listen to an audio book I already had ready to play so I didn't have to look at the screen. The ladies in the office were soooo nice and kind and accommodating. And they helped me navigate since everything was kind of cloudy, blurry, and sore for the first day. The follow-up appointments were just as pleasant and informative as the procedure itself. and I really felt welcome. I highly recommend Nevada Eye Consultants for anyone looking to get ICL surgery done. Thank you!
