First the good, the nurses were nice and the front desk was friendly and efficient. But the experience was terrible . My husband is recovering from leukemia and has had countless procedures, surgeries,etc in the last 3 years and we have never experienced anything close to the post op procedures followed by green valley surgery center. I knew something was wrong when the nurse came out and told me to pull my car around. She just kept repeating that my husband was in severe pain. She said the doctor was not available to consult about why he was in such pain because she was in another surgery . When they wheeled him out , I was shocked . He was slumped over and non responsive to any questions that I asked him . I asked the nurse if there was anything they could do to help him , she shrugged and said they gave him multiple pain shots which didn’t appear to help with the pain but just made him incoherent . We got home at 10:30 am and finally by 3pm he started coming out of it . He has no memory of being wheeled out to the car or the drive home or how I had to get him from the car to the bed . Completely irresponsible of the surgery center to release someone in that condition. My advice to anyone going here is to demand to see your loved one before they wheel them out to the car to make sure they are ready to leave in a safe manner. The doctor finally called me and said she had no idea what caused him to be in such pain because it wasn’t normal for the surgery that he had. She said the surgery center should have let her know before releasing him in that condition .

My experience at this surgery center exceeded my expectations! The waiting area was spotless, light and comfortable. All employees, both at intake and in the surgery area, were kind, considerate and efficient. No complaints whatsoever!

ASC is even farther than Dr. Schorr's E. Flamingo office & very far from the referred NW office.1st YAG visit went smoothly, on time, ASC clean, all RN's with name badges, Brooke my RN stellar. Forms signed before appt., arrival, & in back. 2nd YAG arrived 20 min before appt time 1300. Waited to check in. Taken back after 1300, all 3 RNs cared for this time, Dr asked another patient if he was last victim, then went into closed room. I was taken into YAG room after 1330, was told Dr finishing a procedure, but another patient on a gurney was rolled into that room. I wasn't treated until after 1415 & didn't leave until after 1430. OSHA concern as Dr. Wearing socks only in an ASC.

I talked with Beverly on the phone on 5-15-2023 to verify the schedule time on 5-17-2023 of my wife's eyelid lift surgery to correct conditions limiting her vision in both eyes. My wife, Michele, completed paperwork mailed to her ahead of time and submitted it to Jessica, who was very helpful processing it and collecting insurance and identification information. We arrived at 8:40am early for a 9:30am scheduled arrival time. With everything completed early, they took my wife back to prepare for surgery at 9:20am. Dr. P. Lloyd Hildebrand MD, of New Eyes did the eyelid lift surgery on both eyes with assistance from Green Valley personnel. After surgery was completed, my wife saw an immediate improvement in her vision. After surgery and recovery, Kevin and Misty brought my wife out of the building at 11:30am and carefully helped her get into my truck for the ride home. Follow-up appointments are at New Eyes with the first appointment on 5-25-2023. Everyone at the Green Valley Surgery Center was very helpful, professional and personable. Dr. Hildebrand of New Eyes is a great surgeon. We recommend this place for any eye surgeries. Ken
