So grateful for visit with Dr Myers. As a full time physician away from home I sustained a potentially disabling fracture to my employment as well as my love to run in nature. Dr Myers reviewed my X-rays , exam and my most hopeful goals for recovery. I understand the surgical options as well as risks of observation and rehab at this point. Hard to believe that after not living in Missoula since age 18 I’d find a doctor to return to if I had to do a surgical repair. Highly recommended.
I had traveled out of state for a conference with far more walking than I had been doing for months as I had prepped for and rehabbed from receiving 2 new hips a few months earlier by Missoula Bone and Joint surgeon Mark Channer and his PA Alex. I also have a knee that is being managed well with cortisone shots for now, also at MB+J. Then the walking caused my "good" knee, which does have a bit of arthritis but without symptoms, to become cripplingly painful. It felt as if I had broken something. Luckily, I had a cane with me, so I made it through the meetings, but walking was excruciating and getting worse. I headed home having to use a wheelchair in all 3 plane terminals, arriving shortly before midnight for an overnight stay at a local motel, because I live about 50 miles from the airport and was afraid I would not be able to drive with my injured knee. In the morning I headed to Missoula Bone and Joint Urgent Care for the first time and met staff I was not familiar with. I was welcomed immediately, and there were about 3 other patients ahead of me. I waited less than a half hour. The concern and care I received from everyone involved was genuine, because they could see my pain and difficulties. The thorough set of x-rays and physical exam pointed to a conclusion of a condition that might also best be managed with cortisone, painkillers and NSAIDS, like the other knee. I received the shot immediately, and the drugs are over the counter so I was all set. Relief was immediate, and I walked out of Urgent Care on my own without the cane. What an incredible result! Everyone on the staff congratulated me on my way out, because they had seen that I was going nowhere without significant pain when I had hobbled in. I have trusted MB+J for several years now with my knees and hips and back. I will not go anywhere else. And now I know that their Urgent Care facility is also the best. MANY thanks, MB+J. Pam G.
Can’t say enough about how kind and supportive the staff were at Missoula Bone and Joint when my daughter broke her arm. Patrick, the PA who worked with her, was so calm and delicate with my kiddo. He was even kind of enough to pop in the next day after her surgery to check on her even though he was not a part of that particular intervention. Doctor Sullivan and all the nurses were incredibly warm and communicative. Thank you for such wonderful care. My daughter is healing and doing great.
Dr. Werner is an outstanding sports-medicine orthopedist. I saw him today for the first time. The visit started on time and didn’t appear rushed. He did a thorough H&P, provided clear guidance, didn’t order any unnecessary tests, and answered all of my questions. His assistant, Bella, was friendly, thorough, efficient, and professional. I recommend Dr. Werner and his team without reservation.
Hip replacement surgery is never fun but I felt in good hands with Dr. Channer at Bone and Joint Center. He took the time to explain everything and answer questions. Alex, his PA was very professional and personable. Autumn really is the glue that holds everything together. Great team. Thanks to all of them.
