Just had surgery on my foot today! Everyone from checking in to my leaving were beyond helpful and made me feel at ease. The nurses, I'm sorry I don't remember names, were so amazing, kind and very comforting. ALL of you went way beyond to make this old girl comfortable on her first major surgery! I won't forget how you made me feel! Y'all are TOP NOTCH!! Keep up the great work!!

Dr. Christopher Montgomery I have seen him for the past 5 yrs. I would rate him as an average provider. However, his whole office including himself, the Nurse Practitioner’s and his Office staff and Black River Medical Center has changed significantly. In the past year or so he limits his practice to just one thing or issue at a time and they all refuse to address any additional issues in the same appointment forcing you to make additional appointment to get minor issues addressed. For example, I needed antibiotics for a sinus related problem and it was time for my annual Labs to be drawn. He and his staff refused to address both issues on one appointment visit. This has happened multiple times on my my past 3 or 4 visits there. I was there for only 5 minutes because they acted like they were busy but they were not. Thus this poor review on the provider and Black River Medical Center. Now it’s all about the insurance copays for the visit. The more visits, the more copays paid and the more money the get from you and your insurance. I just changed Doctors and could not be happier with my new provider who spends at least 5-10 minutes with me each visit and addresses my common and minor health issues in a timely manner. Bye Bye Chris and Black River.

I had surgery a this facility last year, the staff was awesome and caring. I took my younger sister in to the ER after a fall with head and face injuries. They were attentive, fast to respond, professional, friendly, caring and very thorough. She was cared for and we didn't spend hours there waiting. I will use their services again if I need medical care.

I was at this ER Monday March, 6 2017. It is a small ER but it is a very good ER. It did take over 3 hours to get checked out but they did an awesome job and made sure to check everything that they thought needed to be checked. The ER doctor here found out I had gall stones and needed surgery to have my gall bladder removed where as another ER I was at previously that morning ignored and dismissed everything I told them. I would recommend this ER over any other ER in Poplar Bluff MO!!
