I had a wonderful experience here with my colonoscopy. I chose no sedation and it was painful at times. The doctor, as well as the nursing staff, were so sweet and I felt like I was with family members. They kept me calm and walked me through the procedure letting me know what was coming up and how much longer etc. it was helpful and also seeing it on the screen was interesting. The prep and after surgery nurses were very sweet as well. I am grateful for these amazing ladies!
I've had numerous surgeries, most in other countries, including in the Dominican Republic, where I didn’t speak the language, and while it may not be considered a fully developed country, I always left the surgical facility with all of my belongings. The care at this facility was pretty average—nothing particularly noteworthy. However, they lost a star for what happened after my procedure. After my surgery at this facility, my doctor handed the nursing staff the implant he removed, instructing them to give it to either me or my driver since I was still heavily sedated. Instead, they placed the implant in a plastic bag with my clothes without informing me, and I was sent to the changing room. Being groggy, I assumed the bag only contained my clothes and left without it. The nurse insists she sent the bag home with my son, but he assures me that didn’t happen, and I’ve never seen the items she claims to have given him. Honestly, what else could she say? It's her responsibility, and she made a mistake. That implant was mine, something I paid for, and could have been important for legal or any number reasons. They were supposed to make sure I received it, and they failed. This kind of oversight is unacceptable. Super Disappointed
The staff is amazing. From check in, pre op and recovery..everyone was excellent and truly dedicated to my health and comfort. I was confident in my surgeon, but EVERYONE was just so kind and caring.
Just completed 2 surgeries there and was very impressed. The nurses were kind, professional, and knowledgeable. They did an awesome job. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends and family
My son just had surgery at Briarcliff Surgery Center & I can't say enough nice things about the staff! The front office ladies were nice, knowledgeable & efficient. The nursing staff was outstanding!! They made sure to answer all of our questions and had amazing bedside manner. Of course, the cost of surgery, anesthesia, etc was not cheap, but that definitely depends upon your insurance. Be sure to ask how much every aspect of the procedure & care is going to cost and what will be covered. For example, the anesthesiologist bills separately from the surgeon and from the surgical center. Would definitely use this facility again, if needed.
