This place is HORRIBLE! I woke up during cataract surgery and was in tremendous pain! The surgeon was yelling at people in the operating room! I found out afterwards that they way overcharged me and I’m still fighting for my refund for over a year! DO NOT GO HERE!

My husband had cataract surgery done at this surgery center this morning. He also had cataract surgery done on the other eye a few weeks ago at this surgery center. My husband tells me that the doctor who performed both surgeries is a very nice person and highly competent. That being said, the surgery center staff's communication to patients and the organization of the the surgery scheduling needs a lot of improvement, in my opinion. Upon my husband's initial consultation for the first surgery, he was made to sign a promissory note stating that he would pay a certain amount for a "facility fee" which supposedly would not be covered by his insurance - even though he was given paperwork on which a staff member had handwritten that he would be billed for the facility fee. Not the end of the world, but annoying. But then when my husband arrived at the surgery center this morning, staff told him that he had to pay them $540.00 (facility fee for today + facility fee for the first surgery) IMMEDIATELY or else the doctor would not perform the surgery today. This was the first that my husband had been told this information. He was shocked. Happily, he was able to borrow the $540.00 from a relative and get the surgery done today - but this is not a customer-friendly way to do business, in my opinion. Lastly, my husband was told to arrive at the surgery center at 9:00am this morning, but he wound up having to wait until 11:00am to have the surgery. Not acceptable. I suggest that if utilizing this surgery center, make sure you ask a lot of questions about the billing and the surgery scheduling before actually scheduling the surgery. My intent with this review is not to disparage the surgery center staff, but instead to hopefully bring these issues to their attention so as to effectuate some changes.

Brought my father here for eye surgery. Nice waiting area, but I chose to wait outside in my vehicle due to not wanting to wear a mask for the duration of his surgery. The first time I was told it would be an hour, but it ended up taking over 3.5 because they didn't tell me he was the next to last surgery of the day. People were friendly enough. Just wish they would have been truthful about the waiting time. Let's see how the second eye goes today. Was told about an hour again.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! This place is a joke. They were 55 minutes late for surgery today. Manager had no reason or excuse why and when asked, couldn't even say how late surgery would be, not even a guess. Another person was very unhappy because they wouldn't allow them to see or talk to loved one before surgery. That is VERY WRONG!! My family has had their share of surgeries and that has never happened in the different places we've been. They also need to clean this place. How are you supposed to feel comfortable in a medical place that can't clean the floors? I repeat, DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!

They do not let family members go back before surgery, unable to see loved one until after surgery....They just come out and get the patient, can't say anything to the patient, couldn't say l love you, give a kiss or say a prayer. Should always be able to see loved one before surgery begins. Don't care for the way this is done at all.
