DO NOT GO TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM. CentraCare uses out-of-network emergency doctors through EPPA (Emergency Physician Professional Association) to illegally surprise-bill patients. You may be seen for seconds and later receive a separate bill for hundreds of dollars. This is a direct violation of the No Surprises Act, a federal law that explicitly prohibits billing patients for out-of-network emergency care at in-network hospitals. Patients in emergencies cannot choose their doctor — and the law exists to stop exactly this kind of abuse. EPPA then sends payment demands via sketchy spam-like text messages months later. Miss it, and they send you to collections to damage your credit. This is predatory, deceptive, and unacceptable. CentraCare knows this is happening and continues to allow it. That makes them complicit. Emergency care should not come with illegal financial ambushes after the fact.

Honestly I’m very upset with the care I got here, I went here for mental health not my choice I thought I was staying at the St. Cloud one but got transferred here at first it seem good but then I had an issue with staff Constantly changing what they were saying and what was loving and what wasn’t, witch lead to a break down Was that I was being told I was being discharged when I never asked to be discharge, which I was told I did when all I’ve ever asked was to be transferred cause I was not getting the care I need like they never touch my Mental health meds just sleeping meds Which cell doesn’t make sense when all I said, as I woke up, foggy in the next morning, then was told I could try to get into the Crisis place and for some Reason they booked a bus when I never agreed to take a bus Then was told I sabotage getting on a bus when I never agreed to get on a bus when I knew my boyfriend would come get me if he had to but was told I could arrange to try to get into this one other place, Which I was allowed to get in the next day maybe And was trying to make arrangements for that and then was trying to figure out how to get home and was told that they booked a bus for me which I never agreed to get on when they knew I had no phone and no keys to get into my place and said it was my issue to figure out how to get home after they got me to the bus station in St. Cloud. Even knowing my boyfriend was willing to come get me and when my boyfriend tried to call and talk to them about coming to get and hung up on them trying to make plains to come get me I ways also called a compulsive liar many times by staff when I told point out there lier and was told they never said that even when other Client stuck up and said they heard it too, I was even told during my break down cause I would not move away from the desk and wanted to speak to a high up that they would Resting me and Sedate me to make me listen and even when I back up it was not listening even though I was against the wall not by the desk and had ever right to wait there and ask to see a higher up but was being told I be Forced to go back to my room and restrain down and sedated if I didn’t listen even though I was not being a harm to myself or anyone else! This place was no help they actually made my mental health worse and said it was my fault for not being Compliant with treatment witch was not true at all the got made I point out them changing what they all said about rules and pointing out my rights!

Went for serotonin syndrome within 3 days I’m back home. My stay at the hospital was perfect and the nurses took great care of me. Thanks for saving my life.

I've had many issues with this ER & hospital. They've misdiagnosed many people I know. My recent experience gives me every reason to never go back there. My mom has been in and out of the ER for the last 3 weeks in excruciating pain. They kept doing the same tests which weren't showing anything. They just drugged her up and sent her on her way. Finally the 3rd time going in well bawling her eyes out they decided to finally do a CT scan and found a abnormality on her spine. Thank god her Dr had her in within 24 hours for an MRI because she was immediately put back in the ER & transferred to St. Cloud because of an abscess on her spine that cause an infection in her whole body that was spreading to her bones. If the ER would've done what they should've even the 2nd time she went , if they would have listened to her when she said she felt like she was dieing, this could've been prevented! They are so quick to dismiss patients and throw drugs at them! Get it together Willmar.

My sister was born at this hospital (before CentraCare ruined it), and years later she came in doubled over in pain from severe menstrual cramps — clearly suffering — and instead of compassion or care,TRIAGE NURSE JODIE brushed her off and told her it was “just female problems.” She even said, “pain is a part of life.” No vitals were taken, no questions asked — we weren’t even moved out of the admission area before being told we wouldn’t be admitted. She was condescending and rude, constantly interrupting us with long drawn out monologues about how addressing the pain would only be a “bandaid solution”, not worth trying. When I tried to advocate for my sister, JODIE tried to kick me out instead of helping. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic human decency was shocking. My sister left humiliated and still in pain, and I left disgusted that a place she was born in could treat her so horribly. This was truly the worst healthcare experience I have ever witnessed. Do not send your loved ones to this ER. If this is how they treat women in pain, it’s clear that compassion and patient care are not their priorities.
