I had Cataract surgery with Dr. Nelson. Andra was the main nurse for the surgery although I have met many of the other members on the staff during exams, checkups, accounting questions etc. They have ALL been nothing short of exceptional! They literally are probably the most kind and the most caring people that I have ever dealt with at any business....ever. The human body is complex and the gift of sight is a treasure, everyone might heal just a little different but the level of care and attention given to me as a person is heartfelt and much appreciated. I couldn't give them a higher recommendation! Thank you!

Dr. Nelson was amazing! I was back in Alexandria for just a couple days over the holidays. She came in on her day off to treat my opacification. She was kind, intelligent and very efficient. I was seeing better in hours. I can’t thank her and the entire team at Minnesota Eye enough!

Mine was a positive experience at every point of contact. I was especially impressed with the nurses and the Doctor himself. One surgical nurse welcomed me to sit down and try and answer the questions I had while trying to decide which lens to go with, and how a multifocal actually works. I never felt pressured to go either way, but chose a multifocal because I fervently dislike having to wear glasses - and I’m very happy with the results! I’m deeply grateful that it went so well.

Dr Nelson is my provider at the Minnesota Eye Clinic in Alexandria MN. I fell and hit the bone just above my left eye. What was really frightening about the experience, is that I didn't realize that I was falling until I was down, so I never reached out to catch myself. The full force of the fall landed on my face, I hit a window sill of the building in front of me. After being cleared by the emergency room, what a miracle, and a sleepless night, my eye closed up from the blood draining from the bump above my eye into my eyelid. I got an appointment with Dr Nelson immediately to ensure that my eye was going to be ok. She had done cataract surgery on this eye less than a year ago. She was so kind and gentle, as she was the previous year. Compassionate, caring, professional everything you want in a doctor. She put my mind at ease that my eye was fine, and if I had any questions or concerns, please call. She's fabulous! Highly recommend! The entire staff was wonderful last year for my surgeries. I had both eyes done.
