9/4/25: From the minute I walked in the door until the moment I left, I was treated like the only person in the entire place! I can't say enough good things about these AMAZING PEOPLE! Not only was I a top priority but they made my family feel the same way! They even checked on me via phone that night. The armband with Doc's number was also very smart! From Candace (the receptionist) to the nurses, the anesthesiologist, the other staff, and my Dr Hollander, WHAT AN AWESOME TEAM! THANK YOU! ♡
I had total hip replacement yesterday, 5-30-25 at the surgical center. Very pleased and happy with the care and attention I received. Thanks to all who were in my attendance, and to Dr. Austin from great Lakes orthopedic Center for such a good job.
Reviewing as a patients other, not as a patient. This is only so non-patients know what to expect. I was there as my wife’s support person. We needed to be there at 5:45AM and were running behind so we arrived right on time. I was thinking like other surgery centers that I’d been to there would be a waiting area where I could grab a snack or a beverage while waiting for my wife to come out of surgery as I was told I had to remain on site for four plus hours. No such luck. They did have a coffee pot, I hate coffee. If you go here as a support person, or if you are taking a support person, please advise them ahead of time that there is next to nothing for them here. Make sure they have a sandwich, snacks, and a beverage with them. Also, they don’t allow you to eat in the waiting room in respect to the patience who have had to fast for their surgery, so make sure they leave it in the car. Aside from that, they were great. The team taking care of my wife was awesome, I give them five stars. I only review the center at 3 stars so the review stands out a little, and I don’t want to nail them with a bad review that scares people who don’t read the reviews.
Horrible experience. Staff doesn't listen to you to check with surgeon if things were normal only concerned with getting you out of there for next person. Day there staff complained about being over booked a day the following week. I'm not even going to say how dissatisfied I'm am will their billing department. I wouldn't send my dog here.
I had a knee replacement there yesterday. I would strongly advise anyone who is having any surgery there to think twice before doing so. Their policy does not allow the individual waiting to leave the facility during the surgery but, the patient waiting area is totally unacceptable. Totally bare bones. No monitors to be able to follow patient progress or a TV to watch. Nothing available to eat or drink not even a vending machine. Very uncomfortable seating. Office staff acting inconvenienced when asking questions. O, they do have a solution, you can sit in your car. I bet that’s fun in the winter.
