I’m disappointed with the lack of care I received at this Novi, location. The Farmington Hills location is much more professional and cares for the patients from the time they arrive until they leave. Not all locations are equal. I’ll never go back to the Novi center again.
I just had to come on here and praise all of front desk, nurses, and doctors. I had to have a colonoscopy and I was very nervous. Everyone made me feel so comfortable. The nurses were so attentive and kind and really went above and beyond to make me feel at ease.
Ended up getting an endoscopy last year because it was recommended. They didn't find anything wrong with me. I had no idea how much it was going to cost and wouldn't have done it if I knew. It costs way too much for nothing to be wrong. The office refuses to negotiate on the bill and it has been sent to a aggressive debt collector who also refuses to negotiate on the bill. There's no way I can afford to pay this and when talking to the debt collector they are too rigid with payment plans and don't offer a plan I can afford.
I’m a new patient but my overall experience so far with this practice has been very good. Kimberly with scheduling was so nice and very easy to work with; she got me a last minute cancellation for the procedures I needed urgently within a few days of calling. The outpatient center in Novi was great too- front desk staff was friendly, very nice building, and once I was called back everything clipped along so quickly/efficiently. Dr. Sorser was absolutely fantastic. This was my first time meeting him and he honestly exceeded my expectations- very kind, personable, compassionate and knowledgeable. I was extremely nervous about the procedures but he was very reassuring I’d be well taken care of. He came to see me twice afterwards to talk about my findings (the first time I was barely awake but he was nice enough to stop in again). He went over everything and reassured me he would call with my biopsy results when they come in. I feel confident he’s going to be very helpful going forward in managing my conditions and I’m very grateful for his understanding. The only qualm I have is my experience in recovery. I’ve had adverse general anesthesia reactions before and told the anesthesiologist this ahead of time. She said it shouldn’t happen with deep sedation, but I was still mentally prepared I might not feel good waking up. Sure enough I woke up extremely cold, nauseous, shaky, dizzy, disoriented, and overall feeling just generally unwell. The anesthesiologist and nurse weren’t very understanding and even though both said it wasn’t a normal reaction, they just said if I didn’t feel comfortable going home then I could go over to the ER. The symptoms lasted about an hour after I woke up, but they seemed to want to discharge me ASAP regardless. I really just needed a little more time to come to, and even tho I’d warned anesthesia beforehand something like this might happen, they told me it wouldn’t. The experience was still good even in spite of my post-anesthesia issues, which would’ve happened anywhere, I just would’ve liked them handled with a bit more understanding from the nurse and anesthesiologist. But I was grateful to be seen so quickly for my problems and I’m very glad to have Dr. Sorser as my GI now, he’s the best!
I'd like to thank the entire team of Dr. Julia Greer for their professional, respectful and kind patient interaction and bed side manner. All the staff was wonderful, nurses, techs, specially Annetta (anesthesiologist assistant). I would recommend this practice to anyone requiring a medical procedure, they made me feel so safe. Thank you!
