I recently had both of my cataract surgeries at SurgiSite Boston in Waltham, MA, and each experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a warm and friendly greeting by Judy, the receptionist, setting the tone for what turned out to be exceptional experiences both times. The overall impression as soon as I stepped inside was that the place was very clean and well kept, and that held true throughout the facility. The waiting room was spacious, and the staff were prompt and attentive. Omar on one occasion and Scott on the other were my patient care assistants; they were friendly and very helpful, ensuring I was never alone as they guided me from reception to the locker room and into the pre-op area. Naomi, my nurse, was more than wonderful. As she was administering the necessary eye drops and placing the port for my sedation with care and precision, she made me feel relaxed and reassured. Patrick, the anesthesiologist, was equally kind and informative, ensuring I felt comfortable. There were smiles all around, and I felt truly well taken care of. Dr. Eric Putnoi, my eye doctor extraordinaire, greeted me with confidence and professionalism, confirming the details of my surgery. The entire surgical team operated seamlessly, making the procedure incredibly smooth. I was conscious during the surgery but felt no discomfort as Dr. Putnoi worked his magic. After each surgery, I was quickly awake and my belongings were brought to me, and I left with the staff’s well wishes. In a very short time, my vision has significantly improved, enhancing my quality of life and making tasks like driving at night considerably easier. The care and expertise provided by SurgiSite Boston is truly commendable, and the entire team shines. Thanks to Laura, the manager, and everyone else for ensuring that the quality of care is top-notch. Thank you, SurgiSite Boston, for a stellar surgical experience both times!

I had the great fortune to have cataract surgery at Surgisite Boston in Waltham. For what most people, I'm sure, is a scary idea having a cataract removed and artificial lens inserted, the doctors and staff at Surgisite do everything they can to relieve your stress and make the situation as pleasant as possible. Pre-surgery instructions were crystal clear to ensure no mistakes going in. Reception (Judy on the day I was there) was absolutely fabulous; welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The surgery prep team always introduced themselves, even if their interactions lasted only a couple of minutes, and they continually explained what they were doing and what to expect. The surgery itself was painless (I was awake the entire time but mildly sedated); there were just a few moments of discomfort (mild pressure) but certainly bearable. I never once felt rushed or part of a conveyor belt of patients even though there were a number of us going through this. All my questions were answered thoroughly, and the post-op instructions were also excellent. If you have an option of choosing Surgisite Boston for cataract surgery, they are my top recommendation, including ease of driving there (not in Boston), ample, free, adjacent parking, and top-shelf specialist surgeons. I had Dr. Morkin whom I'd rate a "10" in every regard. She exceeded my expectations *and* my hopes for dramatically improved vision!

The receptionist was rude and presumptuous, as she is not a physician or nurse. I was to have cateract eye surgery today, until she told me after I had checkrd in that I would not be put under sedation because I would later be taking an Uber home. I objected but to no avail. I had had eye surgery with sedation and i had no problem using Uber somewhere else, but the receptionist knew that she couldnt be wrong. I left the place immediately and called Boston Vision to report the incident and say that the arrangement was no longer acceptable. I would never trust Surgisite with my eyes. Sight is too important for a receptionist to be making medical decisions. Or was it an excessive concern for legal liability? Either way, just say no.

I had cataract surgery at this location today and a week ago today. I cannot begin to praise the staff at this facility sufficiently. Everyone was attentive to me as an individual and was truly caring and efficient. Each person explained what was happening during every step in the process, made sure I was comfortable, etc. No wonder my ophthalmologist does his procedures there! They are the best.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes, one month apart.; Sept and Oct 2016 I felt well cared for during the first surgery. Today I had the second. After having the 3 sets of eye drops, I was left alone for over 30 minutes. No one spoke to me even though staff members passed by me continually. I became anxious and felt lonely. When the orderly wheeled me into the OR, no one asked me how I was doing; they just started in propping my eye open. I was uncomfortable, anxious, fearful, unhappy. It took a while to find the anesthesiologist. The procedure went well enough after that. The first time was perfect. The second was unnecessarily disruptive and border line cruel.
