My complaint is not about the surgery or the services. It is garbage that both parents cannot not go in with their children for surgery! They only allow one parent in. Now I sit in the waiting room for three hours. Total BS!

I had my hip replaced Friday, October 3rd. This place was absolutely amazing. From scheduling to surgery. Everyone was amazing. They took such great care of me and explained everything to my daughter so she could take care of me. I really can say I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Absolutely Amazing doctors and staff. Thank you so much for taking such great care of me

I could not recommend Shields Surgery Center Medford more highly. I received outstanding compassionate and skilled care there for two hip replacements. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, while staff are very skilled and attentive. I was able to leave after same day surgery with confidence and clear post surgical instructions.

I cannot say enough about my experience at Shields Surgical Center in Medford. From my pre-op Nurse Lindsey, to my wonderful post-op Nurse Lori, my amazing anesthesiologist Dr Roman- who spent so much time trying to get me comfortable, to my excellent PT Jane!!! Lori even called me to check up on me during the week to check up on me! They were all so kind and informative. They kept me at ease going through my hip replacement surgery. I highly recommend Shields Surgical Center!!!! Liz

Wouldn't go here again. While the doctor was wonderful and the operation successful, the Shields staff never scheduled a visiting nurse nor physical therapy after my surgery. Supervisor Donna Begin panicked 5 days later when I contacted my doctor to find out what was going on. So much so, on a Friday afternoon she hurriedly scheduled PT at a location far from my home. I had to care for my own wound and send pictures to my doctor to watch for infection. In addition, the local police showed up at my door because I didn't return the confirmation call for PT. I wasn't going so why return her call? And to call the police??! Donna Begin messed up and was trying to cover her tracks. She should not hold the position she does. Very poor patient care.
