DO NOT GO HERE! Negligence Almost Cost Me and My Baby Our Lives I’m writing this in the hope that it prevents others from going through the trauma I endured at this surgical center. Background: I have PCOS and was always told I couldn’t get pregnant. In November 2024, I went to this facility for a scheduled procedure. As part of the standard pre-op protocol, they were supposed to perform a pregnancy test. I was later told (a month after surgery) that the test came back negative, but no one informed me at the time What happened: I was under anesthesia for 5 hours. During surgery, the surgeon found an apple-sized mass and, unsure of what it was, wisely decided to stop and refer me for further imaging (MRI). In December (a month later), I went to the surgeon’s regular office in Providence to see his PA. She insisted I go to the hospital that day, and I’m forever grateful she did. The shocking discovery: At the hospital, I found out I was 9 months pregnant. I had no symptoms and believed the bloating was due to new medication. I gave birth shortly after. The aftermath: I am incredibly lucky. My daughter and I are both healthy. But this could have gone horribly wrong. If my surgeon hadn’t stopped when he did, both of us could have died. Someone at the surgical center either failed to do a pregnancy test or falsified the results. Either way, it’s inexcusable. To make matters worse, no one from the surgical center has ever contacted me. No apology. No explanation. Not even a refund for the surgery that should have never happened. Their negligence nearly cost us our lives. Please note I want to make it very clear that my complaint is not about my surgeon or his Providence-based team. On the contrary, I am forever grateful for their professionalism and care. It was his decision to stop the surgery and his PA’s guidance that ultimately ensured the safety of both myself and my child. This complaint is directed solely at the staff and protocols at the Same Day Surgi Clinic in Fall River, MA, where the surgery took place. Their negligence regarding the required pregnancy test and lack of follow-up or communication is what placed us in grave danger. Please, think twice before trusting this facility. I’m still traumatized. What happened was unacceptable.

I know for a lot of folks myself included that medical testing and procedures can cause a lot of anxiety. Because my experience here was so positive, I wanted others to know. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted and the woman who checked me in today was kind and funny which helped put me at ease. Everything was on time, but nothing felt rushed. I interacted with 5-6 different nurses while being prepped for my procedure & during it. Each one was exceptionally kind, respectful, and ensured my comfort. I felt very respected and heard. Overall, staff were really great & professional. Fantastic doctor and anesthesiologist as well. Thank you all for making what could be a very rough day much more tolerable.

All of the staff here were courteous and accommodating. I felt like my individual needs were respected and I felt safe from start to finish. I was super nervous coming in for a first time colonoscopy, but everyone put me at ease. No, it's not fancy or brand new, but the people here are clearly experienced, competent, and kind.

Everyone from reception to Dr Watson were extremely nice and comforting. My nurse Jocelyn was amazing. I had explained that i never have a good experience with bloodwork. My veins are horrible. She put the IV in and got it on the first time with no pain. That never happens with me. I am so grateful for Jocelyn. I wish she could do my bloodwork all the time. Thank you Jocelyn.
