I have never had an issue with Amherst Medical Center. They are always professional, helpful, and convenient. I went to Dr. Midler for years and would probably not be alive today if it was not for him. I currently have Dr. Viderman as my primary. I find him to be both professional, practical, and easy to access when I have questions. I have never had to wait for more then 10 minutes to be seen.
I don’t care if she knows my name; that receptionist should not work here if she hates her job so much. I walk up with no one waiting as she’s on the phone and after a few minutes of me standing there trying to wrangle my toddler, she slides the window open and says “can I help you?” Like she’s annoyed with me for being here. 7 signs around her saying “check in”, I say “I want to check in?” And then she says she’ll “just send [me] down because [I'm] late already”. And then goes back to her phone call. This isn’t my first time being unnecessarily sassed by this woman. Why are you like this???
The staff is very touch and go some people you get on the phone are very nice others are rude as if I'm interruptimf them when their job is to answer phones... They usually always get me in immediately as I have very serious health conditions and I love my doctor usually the nurses that come in before the doctor are just not that smart. Ive heard horror stories of Hadley medical center so I'd rather be with valley med and plus it's very close and very clean and has blood work, X-ray and ultrasound plus other things all in one building so I don't need to go else where. They have improved greatly recently with staff and them being friendly.
I have had excellent, professional care for many many years at VMG. I’ve had a few uncertain transitions as my doctors retired over the years (one of the problems of living so long), but I’ve always ended up with someone I trust and respect and who will refer me to good specialists when necessary. And I’ve been through enough medical issues over the years to test that system and the people in it.
Everyone I've met there has been sweet, but currently, they are not listening to me. I know my body and want a second opinion. Just reading my chart and agreeing with the other dr, is not it for me.
