The doctor did a wonderful job. The scheduling was a nightmare. My wife was to be there originally at 6:45 am. They called the day before and said to be there at 12:30 pm instead due to an emergency. They called the day of the surgery and said to be there at 1:30. There was another emergency. Do they schedule enough time in the day to allow for an emergency? We arrived at 1:10 and at 1:55 my wife was taken back to be prepped for surgery. The problem starts first with her not being able to eat since the night before. Then there are people scheduled ahead of her in the prep room. They were going to take them ahead of her even though her original surgery was to be the first one that morning. That was wrong. She goes first after the doctor is finished with the patient he was operating on when she goes in to be prepped. She threw a fit, the doctor understood, and then she was taken into surgery. As it was, we still didn’t get out of the surgery center until 4:15. Somebody does not know how to schedule patients even if the regular scheduler is off that day. It is the responsibility of the women in the surgery center in Williamsport, that day.

I’ve never been in a place like this in my life once you show up with your patience that you drove and you’re not allowed to leave under any circumstances then since you’re stuck there watching TV if you asked the lady (who has no social graces )...can we change the channel she says “NO....we are not allowed to turn on any form of news....too controversial”.....So you’re stuck there watching info commercials for two hours. I would recommend headphones and iPhone or you will go nuts . Then I asked her who’s running this place and she says “I don’t know I just follow the rules “.... i see the reviews are high on the surgery but I have to rate them very low on dealing with the public and general courtesy.
