Their office hour posted online is Mon-Fri 7 AM - 3 PM. I called them at 11 AM during the workday and it said "Our office is currently closed please call next business day"?! Also, I totally agree with Scott Eisenberg's review that "Billing department is a complete disaster". I got a bill from them. First, the telephone number left on the bill never works. Second, I followed the instruction to pay online. The website asked me the "Patient ID" but I couldn't find anything called "Patient ID" on the bill. Third, the website is a third-party company and when I called them to ask what is the "Patient ID", they asked me to call the provider. Then I called the provider but the provider said their office is currently closed......?! Forth, the provider code provided on the bill is not the GIEA at 15005 Shady Groove but the one in Silver Spring, MD. All above makes me feel that the bill is a Scam. Oh, Also also, I got the IV sedative during the EGD. It left me a 4cm * 3cm big dark purple bruise on my arm for 3 weeks. It looked terrible and scary! I couldn't image how much rupturing underlying the blood vessels. The good thing is, Dr. Birns is great. But unfortunately he is going to retire. Update: Someone at GIEA helped me out. She said the third-party website somehow couldn't add my case in :-) Haha so funny! I spent a lot of time figuring out how to pay for a bill. What a messed-up billing system in GIEA. Anyways I can stop by the office to pay the bill, which is safe, you know, after so much struggle, I only feel safe to deal with the bill in person on-site :-( BTW, I finally got my Patient ID by calling the provider. Why isn't this ID on my bill since it's the KEY to pay on-line?! Weird, isn't it? Thanks very much for Laurie in GIEA!
Medical personnel are great. Billing department is a complete disaster. Paid in full online in January. Still getting statements for full balance due. Called. Spoked to people, said it would be fixed. Not fixed. Usually I would say if the doctors are ok you can work with the medical staff. Here, no. Do yourself a favor and find a different place l.
I had a colonoscopy done here 7 years ago and I needed a copy of the report sent to my physician. I called and spoke with Laurie. She took the information and faxed the report immediately. THIS IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT! I want to give my personal appreciation and thanks to Laurie for a Job Well Done! Please recognize her outstanding performance. She deserves it!

Absolutely Best surgical center experience possible. Kind professional staff - from the front desk staff to the Drs Nurses and facility - all amazing. I received completely amazing care.
