Worst surgical management I've ever seen. Untrained staff, desperate to keep afloat, unethical surgical decisions, lawsuit waiting to happen. Don't go. I ve worked there.
Absolute professionalism and exceptional care from top to bottom. Had shoulder replacement surgery there in February 2023 and felt completely at ease through the entire process. Arrived at 6:30AM for the first procedure of the day and reception check-in was smooth and flawless. Was then met by Nurse Akaive who prepped me for surgery, answered any/all questions and remained with me pretty much the entire day. Her pleasant attitude and, at times, humor were exactly what I needed to get through the procedure. The anesthesiologist provided detailed explanation and continued the relaxing atmosphere as well. Sincerely appreciate the treatment I was given at Potomac View.
I would’ve given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the front desk workers. The lady I spoke with has very poor communication skills. I had handed her my insurance card and photo ID while she handed me some paper work to fill out. One of the paper work required me to fill out my insurance information for billing purposes. She had told me to fill out that form as best as I could which to me translates “fill out what you can.” So left out the part where I needed to put my insurance ID number as well as the insurance group number. This was due to the fact she physically still had my insurance card and photo ID. I had handed her the paper work and she quickly went through it to make sure everything was filled out correctly. Then she gave me attitude stating I didn’t fill out my insurance information. I replied back stating she had made copies of the cards and she still physically had them . She stated it still needs to be filled out for billing purpose while she handed me back my “insurance” card and “photo” ID. I was honestly pretty frustrated to be dealing with this individual who lacks competent and proper communication skill in a professional environment. Other than that the rest of the staff were fantastic. Nurses and doctors were superb in communicating as well as performing their duty.
My second visit to the Potomac View Surgery Center this time for a total hip replacement. Everyone is very kind and professional, from intake staff to nurses, anesthesiologists and surgeons. Procedures are explained beforehand. Facilities are spotless. Nurses are attentive particularly during post surgical recovery. My procedure went well and I was able to go home shortly after waking up. Highly recommend.
I had a major surgical procedure done here. The staff was awesome. They cared about me and did their job very well! I want to give recognition to the nursing staff Angelita, Danielle and especially Tori. They were definitely God Sent Angels! Bless them all! Thank you for having the patience and sympathy I needed! Take Care! đź’™
